No, not that kind - the weather kind :) All schools closed on our islands. We got sent home from work at 2pm and I nearly did a Mary Poppins trying to get up my garden path. Pretty scary. Stay safe, all you folks in the windy bits of the UK x

Hey honey, heard you guys have been told to make your way home as transport being curtailed, we're having a bit of the ole windy's here today also but not as bad as you guys. Still didn't dare venture out with baby in pram to pick up my little one, got hubby to drive there.
Your Mary Poppins story reminded me of when I was in school and we were sent home due to high winds, but it had to be one of those times when I was in a flare and weighing about the same as a packet of crisps, well half way home it got too much and I had to hold onto lamp post, everyone thought I was joking but my feet were actually lifting off the ground. hahaha

Lol, Gwen. I was really tiny at school and once got bowled over by the wind and rolled across the playground, much to the amusement of my friends.

Oh well, at least you could left one fly in that and no one would be the wiser! :ylol:

Be safe Helen! I'll be thinking of you in the windy isles!

Dusty.

Oh Dusty If I was to let one fly in high winds I could be responsible for a whole town falling asleep for a few hours. Well thats what my hubby says!!!

Although windy here in Hampshire nothing like what they are getting up north & Scotland in particular. I'm hearing of 165mph winds with blizzard conditions.
Keep safe everyone
Grant
