Hello all,


Thought i would join this forum mainly to make friends and to learn more about ulcerative colitis which is was diagnosed with last year after suffering for years and years and years.

Not alot of people really want to listen if i want to talk about it apart from my husband and parents, i would love to get to know people on here so we can share things and if i am feeling down i can tell you all

Anyway enough of that, i look forward to posting and as already said getting to know some of you

thanks, i belong to the NACC but my group which is mid essex has now folded which i am not to happy about as i asked to go on the committee, it would just be so nice for anyone in the same area as me got in touch and maybe meet up for a chat

there are lots of people here who are always willing to listen and share ideas and advice about IBD! We have an area specifically for UC if you haven't found it already.

What meds are you currently on? Hope you have things under control now. But no matter what you are going thru, it's likely there is someone here who has been thru exactly the same thing and can relate!

Hi Liz and welcome! Yup, I find even my closest friends can only listen so much when I am not feeling well. However, there is always someone on the forum, day or night, willing to listen because we are all in the same boat. I am sure you'll find our community very helpful. Once again, welcome and make yourself at home!

Hi Liz, I'm a new member too. I havent really talked about my illness to many people as its really hard to explain (lets face it its not the most glamourous disease!!) My partner always gets really worried about me, but because I'm so used to it I dont really panic about it.
Anyway...move over facebook...i'm now obsessed with the crohns forum! the people who have responded to my story have been so nice and it feels good to be a part of a group of people that suffer the same thing and understand!
