Hemmies!! A pea between my cheeks :<

Any good advice for them. I have one (not to be graphic) butt (lol) it is sticking out and bothering me. Feels like a pea is stuck between my cheeks.

Boo. Sucks when the hemmie cream can't do the trick. Pillows and sitz baths are the best I can come up with, sorry! Feel better soon. No need to reenact the Princess and the Pea on your touchie.

I feel for you, Mary, and I wish I knew how to get rid of a hemmie too. I've had a hemmie for about a month and a half now. It shrank a little bit on its own, but then I had to drink prep and the whole "peeing out my butt" thing angered the hemmie all over again. I tried preparation H, vitamin E, sitz baths, etc and nothing has helped. I do put calmoseptine on it a couple times a day which helps soothe it, but it hasn't shrank any further. It's a stubborn little thing! I hate it!

The Prep H didn't do a whole lot for me. The hydrocortisone cream seems to be the only thing that has slowed them, but not gotten rid of them. I now have 3 of them hanging out and also have internal roids as well. The cream with the applicator tip is the only way you can get to those.

There is an ointment/suppository called Proctosedyl that contains hydrocortisone and cinchocaine hydrochloride (local anaesthetic). That is the name it is marketed under in Australia and I think it is a prescription only.

Use Balmex! It's a diaper creme but helps keeps the external hemmorhoid dry, clean and from being irritated. It's helped me keep inflammation down a lot!
