Hey how do you all take your temperature.

Mouth, under arm, ear. Every time I go to the Dr I have mine taken in my ear and it is elevated and when I come home I take it by mouth and it is fine.

Hmmm weird!
I dont take mine but when I get my Remicade they do it by ear.
Quick and easy doesnt always mean accurate tho!

I had no luck with those little plastic forehead things. I just say, "Ohhooo do I have a temperature and my gf feels my forehead for me

I have not found a good thermometer since they banned the Mercury kind. We have three electronic kind, and all three read different. I would pay good money for a good Mercury thermometer.

under the tongue with a decent thermometer, which I do not have. I think we still have a Mercury rectal thermometer, but I am not going there.

Products containing Mercury are restricted in Minnesota, probably in other states also. Not sure if it is nation wide, maybe I could get one when traveling?

While getting remicade the nurse uses the usual dr office thermometer. My youngest son just broke the last mercury thermometer we had, I had to buy a "green" thermometer from Wal-Mart. Green = Wont work right :ysmile:

Mouth. Even when I get the remicade its by mouth. I have the digital electronic kind and I feel that it works ok. Probably not as good as the old ones that used to be sold. When I do have a fever I do take it just to get around what number it is, but usually I know when I have one because of how I am feeling at the time. I am bad though lol sometimes when I get the remicade and I see a few extra strips of thermometers that they have either my mom or myself will put them in our purse!! I couldnt last time because my friend took me to get the remicade. I was staring at them but I didnt take them! Did not want for him to think I was a nut or cheap for taking them because a box of them online is not a lot of money!

Mouth usually, some Dr./hospitals do the ear thing. I tend to run a bit hot usually.
