Guess I should formally introduce myself now lol.
No, I don't have crohn's but i originally came on here for some advice for a friend and i got it, plus was very glad to read some other posts to learn some more about the disease and some things that happen, so I'm gonna stick around.

Please bear with me while i learn here...i am no expert and have no experience really so I will try to respond to things but if i say something wrong/completely out there don't be offended or anything. I'll do my best and hopefully learn lots more! look forward to meeting everyone.

It will be good for your friend to have a knowledgeable impartial person to bounce stuff off of.

We are a fairly easy going group, so I think you will have a hard time offending anyone. As long as everyone is respectful and considerate this is a very productive forum. It is by far the best group of people I have ever met on the internet.

Welcome to the forum.

good to meet you rhapsody, hope this forum will help your friend out. the disease is a pretty horrible one as im sure you'll no but there are worse out there!

dont worry about saying something wrong or anything like that, were a forgiving bunch us crohnies :)

welcome to the forum and if u need help or advice on crohns then this is the place to be.

Hi rhapsody86. always nice to welcome new members, whether you have IBD, or its a friend or family member. Hey, we even welcome folks from the medical field who are interested in what it's like to live with this illness on a day by day basis. We are a pretty open group, though this disease tends to isolate those with it. I think the only time we close ranks is when someone joins in just to market to us or try to exploit us in some ways. Takes all kinds to make a world.

Anyway, once again welcome. Let's hope your experience with IBD remains a 2nd hand one only. Fear not, as far as we know, we aren't aren't contagious.
