Hi I was wondering how many people with Crohns have High Blood Pressure? my BP seems to be always high 210/110.

I have had crohn's for 30 yrs. and just got high b.p. I use Benicar and Lopessor in a.m. and lopressor and norvasc at nite and it does really well. The Benicar is a wonder drug. Your pressure is too high at 210/110 and needs to be treated.

I have had high bp for years. I also have a slightly blocked artery. I take coreg, but it's really strong some days my bp bottom out. My bottom number is usually mid 90 to about 120. I still have not got a handle on it. Do you take bp meds.

my meds are a.m. Benicar and Lopressor and p.m. Norvasc and Lopressor. The only time mine is high is when I get up in the a.m., around 150's over 80, then I take the benicar and lopressor and within an hour it is low, like 110/60 and stays that way until the next a.m. usually.

Hi I've had Crohns since 1976. I should have had an Operation on my neck (Goitre) last month it was the Pre Op 2 months ago where they found I had High BP. I'm on Lisinopril 20mg and Amlodipine10mg been on these now for 2 months but my BP is still high 198/102 last week seems to be taking a long time to go down. The Op has been put off until my BP is under control.

Whenever I was in a flare, my blood pressure was always really high. Finally with no flare, bp is back to being almost too low.

Chris - you really need to get back to the doctor and either try different meds or higher doses - with pressure like that you are a stroke waiting to happen!

I have been dealing with high blood pressure myself since this past spring, when it suddenly spiked one day....am now on my 3rd mix of drugs to get it under control - 25mg HCTZ and 5mg amlopidine daily - which right now seems to be working ok.....was on just the HCTZ but my bottom number kept climbing up (pressure was 140/100 last week) and adding the amlopidine seems to be dropping that bottom number.

Hi ChrisJue, need to try Benicar HCT to get that BP down. Tell your doc you would like to try Benicar HCT 40/25

Hi i'm on different meds now and BP seems to be going down fingers crossed he prescribed me with Ramipril 10mg Amlodipine 10mg and Bendroflumethiazide 2.5mg thanks for all your comments.

Chris
