I have an interview tomorrow! I'm not in remission at all but since my urgency went down just a little bit I'm pushing myself to try to get a job! I'm nervous about the interview, hoping I can even make it......don't want to keep having nervous diarrhea and have loud bowel sounds during my interview! :O I'll have to tell the boss about my crohns because it's why I got fired from my last job..........but since this job is data entry for a Home healthcare agency I'm hoping they're understanding. I'm also telling them because I'm going to have to use the restroom A LOT! they'd find out eventually anyway! I'm worried my diarrhea or loud bowel sounds will ruin the interview but taking Gas-X and Bentyl and Lialda 3-4 hours before my interview! That should help! Plus I'm doing a lot of praying! I'm starting to feel ALIVE again! I go out even if I use the restroom a lot, but still don't go far from my house. I don't feel nauseated ALL the time. I'm starting to feel better! I still have my crohns symptoms crazy days though :( I really want this, it's a full time data entry/office assistant job.

The boss emailed me and said I can start right away to see if I like it! Obviously he has trouble keeping people because data entry is boring but I'm PERFECTLY OKAY as long as I get to use the restroom, as long as I don't have to be on the phone too long (seems I won't be at all for this job though) :) Hoping it starts at $10, that would be the most I've ever been paid for a job! I'm going to be 24 soon and hope this really works out and that I'm in FULL remisson soon! :O OMG I'm excited and sooo nervous! I might have my life back! Even if this job just lasts for awhile!!!! I'd make possibly $1600/month but even if they start me a dollar lower or so I should be fine!

Sounds amazing! Good Luck, sounds like it will fit you just fine. I still haven't told my job about my CD. I am just to shy in trying to hide it. I only work as a daycare teacher though. So, frequently I have to make "restroom runs" and I'll get another teacher to cover for me.

:) Stay calm and you'll do fine tomorrow!!

You didn't choose to have this disease so you shouldn't be embarassed about it, that's how I see it :) Why should you feel bad how people view you running to the bathroom all the time when they'd do the same thing if they had it?

Very true in fact! I don't know really. I just get very nervous that I will just stink up the entire place. I try to take my lomotil when my stomach is feeling really bad. Otherwise, most days (depending on what I eat).. it's not to bad.
 
Good luck with your interview!!!! I hope you knock it out of the park, and that you get yourself into remission! That is really exciting :)
 
Congrats on the new job!! That's great that he's starting you out right away if you like it. And congrats on feeling a lot better! It's all great news.

I hope you didn't have any noisy bowel sounds during!! usually if that ever happens to me at inopportune times, I try to make a joke about it :) Humor usually wins people over about that kind of thing.

We definitely find ways to become humerous with our issues! Gotta agree here :D
 
Turned out the job was not what it seemed......never got a call but got a lot of fishy emails from this guy. It was a job I found on Craigslist :(
 
I'm still too sick and go to the restroom too much to work a job where I have to be on the phone, at a register, serving food, or working at a front desk...........so looks like I have to try to find a room attendant job or housekeeping. Not the travel housekeeping jobs but hotel jobs or something..... :( For once in my life I want to make $10/hr or more this sucks......

I am however practicing medical transcription (What I had to drop out of college for because of Crohns) and in a few months even without being certified I'll be able to get a medical transcription job! :)
 
Turns out I have a REAL job interview but with a real company lol :) It's for a room attendant job/housekeeping at a fancy rich super rich place where people have weddings etc lol
 
I'd like to have a "real" job where I'd make $10/hr or $15/hr because God knows living on minimum wage for my whole life has been hard. I'd love office work more than serving the rich food or cleaning their bedrooms and them not being thankful but I hope I'm healthy enough for this job then I'll keep applying for office work and hopefully get it.

You'll find something! And do awesome! Don't worry yourself to much about it:) Although, I'm a big worry wart as well. Ha.
 
OH MY GOD! Can anything else go wrong? I had to call and reschedule and hope they call me back and are okay with it. Turns out I have PINK EYE out of nowhere and my glasses prescription is too old to wear to drive in so I hope they make an interview for next week. I keep getting random body infections because of my damn Crohns (didn't tell them that) lol.

Ahhh that sucks! I hate days like that! Ive been off work the past two days and feeling just horrible about that. I'm sure they will let you reschedule if they knew you had pink eye. Its very easy to spread, so I don't see why not.

Don't worry,Lol...you'll get it!
 
They never called me back for the job. I'm just now recovering from pink eye, but now for the past 4-5 days I've been getting a bad cold coughing, runny nose, painful chest etc, and on top of that now I possibly have a bladder infection again! :(
