Hey everyone, wasn't really sure where to post this so I'll try here,
How bad you do you all feel you would have to be to go to A&E? I'm experiencing a lot of pain and continuous cramping right now but I don't want to go to the hospital and be told it's not bad enough for them to do anything and also I don't feel like waiting around eight hours just to be seen, not sure whether this week has just been a bad week or something's wrong :(
I'm undiagnosed by the way
Thank you!

I have only been to A&E about 5 times in 30 years. Usually it is when I am vomiting as I can't stand being sick. If the pain is unbearable, and/or you are having problems going to the toilet you should go. At least they can give you something for the pain and perhaps a scan to see what is wrong.

Okay thank you! My mum is desperate to bring me but I don't wanna waste anyone's time when there won't be much they can do

It is always best to have a scan when you are not well as it increases the likelihood of discovering what is wrong. And all my visits have been after I was diagnosed. I think if your mum is worried then you should go, even if just for decent pain control. I have very strong pain meds at home so I don't need to go unless I can't keep them down. And don't worry about wasting people's time. You are not well.

It is a good idea to go and get checked out.
Any consistent abdominal symptoms need to be analysed and there are a number of things the doctors can do to diagnose your condition.
They will have undoubtedly seen patients in conditions similar to your.
Your body is telling you something is not right and your mum has the right idea.
Follow her advice and go to emergency get it all checked out.
Why put up with it when something can be done.
Please let us know how you make out.
Feel better soon
Hugs and best wishes

Allegra, do you have an intermediate option? Here in the US, we have urgent care clinics that are between waiting to see your regular doctor and the hospital emergency department.

However, if you are in a lot of pain, it is better to go and be told it is nothing than to wait and have it be an obstruction or something equally bad.

Yeah, we have a sort of emergency GP service where they can recommend to go to the hospital or not, if these pains continue through till tonight then I think I will go to them. Always seems to be worse in the mornings!
