How does Crohn's cause fissures

I always wondered how Crohn's disease causes anal fissures because I have one. I forgot to ask the doc how it causes it. Anyone shed any light on it? cheers

I don't know how crohns causes fissures. But i have had problems with them in the past. It started with having a large/hard bm (tmi). I personally think having bowel movements that just come flying out was my problem. This might be too much info but i think there might be something wrong with our bodies ripping easily. I tore really really bad during child birth and my stitches ripped and i was told by my doctor the crohns disease has been known to cause that. Strange huh.
