So this is basically just a little pity party I'm throwing myself, sorry. It's just that I was so excited...I was going to see the midnight showing of a movie I've been waiting a year for. I bought a ticket and even planned out a carpool with some friends, everything was set. Until I woke up to tachycardia and dehydration. Now I can't go and I just want to cry. It's not the fact that I'm missing the movie, it's that my body limits me so much. I'm young and I should be able to go out and do things with my friends. But I can't and it just kills me sometimes. :ymad:

*Hugs* I'm sorry to hear this, but I totally understand what you mean, it is so frustrating when your really looking forward to something and your body decides it doesn't want to play.. I know it is tough being young and having all these limitations, but there will be other chances, and you can always invite some friends around or something and have fun that way? I know it's not the same and this is so unfair, I just wanted you to know I've felt it too and so have many others here, you aren't alone.

I'm sorry you are missing your show. Dont let people make you feel silly about missing "just a show". Trust me I have felt the same with "just halloween" and "just a birthday". I sat in a life labs and started crying for the first time after being diagnosed(2 months) because I had to book a scope on halloween. Its hard to let go of your glimpse/milestone of health and a normal life!

About three years ago, I had to sit at home while the rest of my family went to see my son's girlfriend dance. I was recovering from a resection and wasn't strong enough to go. Best to you.

:ghug:

I was young when I first got ill as well. It is really difficult to have such a dx at a time of your life when most of your friends don't think twice about their health. Even at my age I pack a lot into my good days because I don't know when the bad days will appear. I'm sorry you missed out on your time with your friends. I hope you can make the show when you feel better and hope you have friends that understand your situation and disappointment.
