About 4 weeks ago went a&e with right side pain and brown discharge from my vagina, they said at a&e I have a hole in my colon that's possible causing a fistula, but they didn't do any scans they just did a swab. 2 weeks ago I saw my specialist and has sent me for a Mri scan, but still not appointment as yet. It's not nice living with this as it has been going on since before Xmas. It is pulling me right down. I have got crohns and taking azathioprine and had a partial bowel obstruction 2 years ago just a little history.

Hey, I'm also currently waiting for an MRI scan! It's horrible not knowing when it's going to be :( hoping you get some news soon!

Thank you ronroush. Thank you becks35, no it's awful as you know there is something going on, I no it takes time but mine was meant to be a emergency appointment. Hope you get sorted soon.

I feel for you. How long is it normal in UK to have to wait for MRI?
Can your specialist help speed it up? In the meantime, have they given you any other treatment?
Hang in there and know that a lot of others have suffered with the same and healed...
Keep us posted.

I am sorry you are having to wait for medical care.
Its bad enough to have these issues but, the waiting just makes it terrible!

About 2-3 weeks is classed as a emergency for a mri. I am just on my azathioprine. No other treatment. Thank you all.

I have my mri results back, and there is no sign of a fistula, but I'm still having feacal discharge from vagina . They have found a cyst on my ovary. I have spoke to my crohns nurse and she said I need to go Drs for a referral to a gynaecologist. I feel so low at the min as I can't carry on like this.

I'm so sorry you're having all this stress. It's the long waits between appointments that drag you down. Please tell your GP how long you've had this discharge and that it's really wearing you down waiting for a result.I don't suppose you'll be pushed to the front of the queue, the way the NHS is just now,but it won't hurt to try.Feel better soon.
