Has anyone actually used it? I'd feel embarrassed but love to hear the stories some might be funny.

Maybe it can get me out of a speeding ticket.

I have used it once. Nothing special, but it was sure handy, because the only bathroom available was for employees.

They certainly are convenient to have handy.

I've never used mine, but would if I had to when ya gotta go ya gotta go, it's always in my purse as a get out of jail type card, Ilove the idea of it preventing speeding tickets or even parking tickets:ylol:

If they refuse to let you go and laugh, tell them they wont be laughing long, and you hope they've got a mop handy !!!!!!!

Yes I have a go card, but have not had to produce it. I did have the opportunity to use it, but changed my mind. I stopped at a gas station and they said there was no public washroom. It was an old dirty station so instead of insisting on using it. I drove to the next one.

It's actually illegal in Texas and several other states for businesses to deny someone who is pregnant or has an illness use of the bathroom. I don't have a card, but if I have to go and someone tries to tell me the bathroom is for "employees only," I will threaten them with a law suit!

That's good but how do they have you verify? Couldn't anyone say they have an illness?

I'd also like to remind UK members about the National Key Scheme Guide or NKKS -accessible toilets for disabled people, launched in 1981 and published by RADAR the current listing includes over 77000 facilities in all parts of the country provided by over 400 local authorities and other organisations, providing a key s for facilities where it has unfortunately become necessary to restrict entry to many public facilities in order to prevent damage caused either willfully or casual misuse by fitting a standard lock
Can give some peace of mind and no excuses to get out and about key available free from some autorities and even available through Amazon and EBAY or a download from the radar website

I got my card from my GI. I only had to use it once, at a bank, and they were so helpful about it. Once, at another store with an "employees only" bathroom, I just asked to use the bathroom, and they let me, without worrying about the card.

I've got a 'Can't Wait' card from NACC, it's £12 a year, but I've never used it yet.
But I will if I get caught speeding!
'Can't Wait' for that explanation to the cops!
I've also got a RADAR key, we use it every day for the kids I work with when we're out and about, very handy!

Here EVERYONE! Here's how you get a card! It's FREE! I wondered how to but got mine a few months ago after seeing it mentioned on an IBD site! It says:
Medical Alert
Restroom Access Required
The holder of this card has Crohns Disease or Ulcerative Colitis. Colitis is painful and requires immediate access to a toilet facility. This patient cannot physically "hold it". Please make your restroom available.

I wish they would just educate people instead, is it so hard to have a 2 minute word with their employees that people with crohn might need to use the restroom.

I'm glad I found this link for the site. I just ordered mine, hopefully it comes soon. I hate being in public places and the stores tell me they don't have a public restroom.
