I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease 10 years ago. I have been able to manage it with diet, prebiotics, probiotics, natural ant-inflammatories and a healthy diet and exercise. I had my first episode this past December. I had lost 20lbs in six months and was very sore. My doctor put me on prednisone which has helped, I have had no pain and I have regained 10 pounds. Today I went for a colonoscopy. The doctor said my overall colon looks healthy but I have a narrowing where my small intestine meets my large. At that narrowing it is swollen (looks like a bunch of little sausages all twined together). He doesn't believe there is Cancer there but he can't tell unless he removes it. It is a small area in a good spot which should bring good results. I am nervous about doing this but feel it is a good decision, my father was diagnosed with colon cancer 12 years ago and is Cancer free, so due to genetics I think it's a good idea.
