When Devynn was in kindergarten (before she was diagnosed with IBD) She had some weird blistery rash that we thought was chicken pox. I took her to the dr who thought it looked more like measles. They never did find out what it was (lasted longer than pox or measles) and figure it was related to IBD. Last night after her shower I noticed 4 blisters on her back, that again look like pox. Nothing new this morning. She does have fever, sore throat and chest congestion. Has anyone else had a blistery pox like rash that is IBD related, rather than pox?

Hi
Not sure if it's the same, but since I was having a bad time a few weeks ago I have developed blister like lumps under each arm . I always have intermittent sore throats and temperature. I think it is either a reaction to the on going Meds or progression of IBD. I have had symptoms for three years and this is the first time I have had this. I think it could also be a sweat rash because of the bad night sweats. I think if you look on other parts of the forum you will get more direct information , I think the section is called IBD manifestations or some thing like that.
Good luck and I hope you get answers soon.

That is something I can get from time to time, a rash with a few pox like bumps anywhere on the chest, shoulders and upper back. Doctors have noted it for a long while. It is something I'm actually concentrating on at the moment to see if it is diet related. So far so good. I'm on a limited diet, eating the same foods over and over, and have been doing so far for a few weeks. The rash went away after a few days and has stayed away. The gut is behaving better too. Energy levels have improved - for most days.

I'd like to say what specific food avoidance is working for me. I'm avoiding to many to know.

I suppose, if the rash continues making an appearance on your daughter you might look into writing a food journal to see if diet plays a part in its occurrence. Best of luck!

Thank you PVail and Beach. This looks like pox, very tiny blister like spots. I was keeping a food journal for the past few months and JUST stopped about 2 weeks ago! lol She hasn't eaten anything new, or different so I will keep an eye. Thank you :)
