It's a funny thread but also true. I cannot distinguish between gas and when I need to go. Anyone else with this problem that runs to the loo only to find it was just farting?

LOL!!! Nothing worse than sitting down for just a fart .. actually maybe thinking a farts a fart and finding out the hard way it isn't, is ALOT worse!!!

oh yes. definitely been there, done that, and got my t-shirt! After having over 5 operations on my rear this year, I can officially no longer fart unless sitting on a toilet!

Had that problem long before being diagnosed with Crohn's though, my brothers and I used to call this phenomenon "warm farts" when we were younger. LOL
Now we just call it LIFE!

I literally LOL'd when I saw the title of this thread. So true! It's frustrating to go all the way to the toilet and pull your pants down just for a fart. But, better safe than sorry!

Mine sometimes start as farts and then the mucus flies out and you have to bolt to the toilet to finish a wet fart and mine are mostly like that

Yeah it happens to me too :/ this might sound odd but I kinda don't fart anymore and I have gotten to know my body pretty well and when I can tell that it is a rare moment when I'm going to fart I'm like wow O.O hahaha but yeah like I said, I used to just hold them in, but now I kinda just don't unless I'm going to the toilet. Pretty gross topic but funny too

Before my colectomy, I wouldn't fart unless sitting on the toilet because I never could tell. I would even wake up several times at night to run to the toilet just to fart.

Yeah i know all about running to the toilet several times a night just to fart its weird i seem to fart less at night if i sleep on my back but i cant cause of my scholiosis but i need to sleep on my side and makes me fart more for some reason
