5 BM's in 2 hours. I hate this. People ask how you are feeling, and I say well I never really feel good, and they just look at you like your a crazy person. Sick to my stomach now, and I even ate good for the last several days. I cannot remember what it was like not to have crohn's anymore. OK short vent. Back to the tube until the next potty break. Does anyone with Crohn's go to the movies anymore??? Thanks for listening.

Lucy I am with you here! Right now all my trips to the bathroom aren't regular "matter" dumps so much as O Pos dumps! :yfaint: And I am so sick of the people who ask you how you're doing and then act like a fly just buzzed them or something! I have finally just started answering "Oh fair to middlin' " They don't care any way. I am also starting to think that if I didn't have this forum to visit and find others that feel and think like me I'd WOULD take the Short Answer! I don't have any family or friends and we all know what coworkers and "aquaintances" are like! So try to hang in there..... you got at least one other person who feels the same way!...... Like THAT really Helps?!?!?!?!?!?
:hang:

(((((((((( Lucy ))))))))))

I happened to see in a post you made after this one that you felt kind of bad for your rant 'cause this other person's problems seemed worse than yours.... don't ever feel bad for ranting, Girl!! We all need to do it, otherwise it eats us up inside...sometimes literally...lol.

And I hear ya on the not knowing what it's like to not have have CD anymore... although I have had it since I was 13, so I guess I really don't know what life is like without it...lol.

But hopefully, sometime, you will find a period of remission where you can have a bit of quality of life back... some of us get it, some of us don't. Only the very fortunate get to keep it for a long time, and it is very hard to remember the "good times" when you are not in remission and always feeling sick.

I wish I could say things will for sure get better, but as one of my very close friends said to me just a few days ago, " 'For sure' is a concept long forgotten; the best I can give you is a definite maybe"... lol

((((((((((((( Lucy ))))))))))))) Sending warm thoughts and here to listen anytime you need a vent......

(PS. I don't get out to movies anymore either... it's just easier to wait until they come out on DVD and watch them at home... then I can pause whenever I need to...lol ;) )

Silvermoon is right! I have had two resections and the D??? Whoa, but I took Questran for two years, now I dont take anything and I rarely get D, unless I eat something stupid, I know I can't it or my days.

Not sure if I mentioned but see if you can get Questran from you doc, and eat apple sauce every chance you get. Ranting here on the forum is not only permitted it is a gift!

Awwww you guys are so great!!!! Thank you for your support. Jettalady I do eat applesauce every day at lunch, but just because I like it and I know it won't hurt my stomach. Why is it good to eat it?? Since starting the Humira I am better than I use to be, but I have never felt in complete remission. Billie you do have both family and friends right here on this forum. I'm just glad I have people to talk to that truly understand what we all are going thru. Thanks again for all your support.

Hi Lucy, believe it or not my dietician who also does digestive disorders told me that unsweetened apple sauce helps to slow your bowels down. Makes sense because of the apple pectin in it.

Too bad you don't live near by I have 7 apple trees and my husband makes homemade applesauce, some with cinnamon some with out. The are sweet apples so we don't use any sugar. And it is a safe food I agree. Good for ya too! ;)

BRAT diet:
bananas, rice, apple sauce and toast... easy on tummy and helps slow diarrhea...

:)

Questran is a powder used to bind bile salts normally regulated by the gallbladder... those of us without gallbladders, and quite a few others who have "chronic diarrhea" sometimes find that Questran helps to bind these bile salts and slow down BMs (plus it makes them less "burny" lol )....

:) :)
