Does anyone experience constipation after taking Immodium?
I had to take it three nights ago because of really really bad diarrhea. Now I haven't been able to go! I'm not complaining because I would rather not go than sit on the pot with flame poop! :poo:

Oh I can't bear it Pew Pew, they gave me loads after my last hospital stay.... It bunged me up totally... I was so swollen and sore, I thought poop was going to come out of my mouth. I stopped it and three days later had about a weeks worth of D in the space of three hours... For me it was totally evil.

I'm glad that I'm not feeling backed up. I bet that is terrible. I'll be crossing my fingers that I won't be pooping out my mouth! :p
Still no feeling at all like I have to go. Seems pretty strange since I only took two like the bottle said.

I think it's about time I asked for Questran. I've heard a lot about it and I would love to try it.

Pepto Bismol doesn't help when I have d, all it does is make it black for days. I'm glad the Immodium works but it makes me concerned when it just shuts everything down.

I try not to take Imodium and my old doc had actually warned me away from taking a lot of it. Basically, he always told me to take Kaopectate for the diarrhea and Phillips for constipation. However, I tend to use senna tea for constipation.

I remember some time before my obstruction I was taking a lot of Imodium and alka seltzer. I still think it might've been a contributing factor.

My doc warned me too and I'm presonally firmly against Immodium for anybody let alone us. There are pills out there which will slow you down (Tylenol does this) but not plug you up. I very strongly believe if it needs to come out you should let it come out whether you have Crohn's or not.
