First, sorry for such a long post and I really appreciate any advice anyone can offer..

My dr visit is coming up in a while and I will be asking the same questions to him, but I would really also appreciate the advice of people who actually share the same health problems as myself..

This is my list of daily vitamins.. All are bariatric because I have trouble swallowing pills..

Multivitamin - High A,D,E and K -2 daily
Calcium 250mg with D 125 IU- 2 chews, 3x day = 1500mg calcium, 750IU D
B-12- 1000 mcg with Folic Acid 200 mcg 1 daily
B - ?

These I have but am worried to start taking before any further advice:
Iron- 60 mg with vitamin C 250mg
D3- 10,000 IU

I'm also taking Imuran each morning and take it with food.

Are there any of these I should NOT be taking together? If so, how long apart should I take it from other vitamins?

Can I take all the vitamins at once along with my imuran in the morning? - I am planning on spacing out taking each multivitamin and calcium chews

I have been getting Iron infusions about every 6 weeks so I'm worried I may have gotten too high of a dose for my daily iron?

I'm getting monthly B12 injections and am worried taking daily b12 may be too much?

I am also worried about taking too much vitamin D, but only if I start taking the 10,000IU chews along with the 1,417IU of D I will be taking that comes in a couple of the other vitamin supplements.

I've read on the internet that too much D daily over a long period of time can be toxic and cause kidney damage.
I've also read the mayo clinic stated taking over 1,000mg of calcium daily over a long period may lead to kidney stones..

Months ago, I was advised by my dr to see a dietician to find supplements and I picked these off a list she gave me to choose from. I just now finally decided to really take Crohn's seriously to try and get my health back.

I'm guessing there will be morereplies saying get bloodwork done and see dr's for the right amount of vitamins. Big vitamin blood test already scheduled

Just like in a multivitamin where multiple vitamins are packaged together there is no risk in taking all of these together. The only reason you shouldn't take the calcium and iron together is that the calcium inhibits the iron ingestion but there is no risk. I personally like to space my pills out over the course of a few hours just because it eases the potential upset stomach from packing in 15 pills a day all at once. Crohns patients realistically never have to worry about getting too much of something as we have problems absorbing everything even down to cholesterol. Some vitamins even have a cap that can be absorbed everyday and the body flushes the rest, Crohns patients will never get close to the cap. I would really recommend taking a look at your blood work numbers and doing the research to set your mind at ease. For example if you knew your B12 levels and the ridiculously high cap potential of B12 you would see that it would be very hard to overdose on it. I have been on B12 injections weekly and daily supplementation for several months (I was really low) One last thing if you have been getting iron infusions it means you were very low with Iron, the way that iron works is you have 3 places to store it in your body one of those being a long term storage that takes several months if not years to fully recharge. So even if you maxed out your iron intake everyday it would take a very long time for you to run the risk of having iron overload symptoms. Long story short I had these same questions for my doctor as well who told me to stop worrying as a Crohns patient can almost never overdose on any vitamin unless we are taking handfuls of something a day we will not absorb enough of it to pose a danger. Be sure to still talk with your doctor.
