Everytime I go to the GI, he asks when I have a bm do I have the feeling of being empty or the urge to still have to go.

Why is this necessary for him to ask everytime I see him?

Why don't you ask him? I'm assuming he's asking so that he can ascertain if you have proper bowel function or not.

He probably keeps asking because he needs to know if you have the feeling of not being done to determine how your disease affects your daily bowel function. Also, this can help the doctor determine where your inflammation is affecting the colon. When I have that feeling it is usually a precursor to a flare in the rectal/anal area.
