Hi everyone,
After visiting with my GI doc yesterday, I was informed that I would be unable to BF while on Remicade.I'm super bummed out.I am a very avid supporter of BF'ing, I BFed my last one for over 14 months.None of my babies have ever tolerated formula well.
I guess I don't understand what the difference is.The doctor has chosen to leave me on remicade this entire pregnancy.It's going through my body to baby now, so what's the difference if it goes through the breast? He tried to explain this to me, something about the molecular structure being different, but it was all going right over my head.
I would consider going off remicade just to be able to BF, but I know my doctor is not going to let me do that, nor is it probably a good idea, but I'm pretty heartbroken.
Has anyone ever BF'ed while being on remicade? Or does anyone know where I might find out any further info on it?
