is this something i should be concerned about?

hi, im 19 years old and i was diagnosed with crohns about 10 months ago. I was on prednisone for a while along with salofalk and sulfasalazine then imurane for a while. Most of my crohns symptoms went away but the medication was giving me headaches and chest pains and making me feel way worse so i stopped taking everything and i felt WAY better. I've been off all medication for about 4 months but recently i've been finding blood and my stool and the past couple of days there has been A LOT. I really dont feel that bad, like before i was diagnosed i had terrible joint pain, it hurt when i ate anything at all, i was really anemic and just slept all day and i was going to the washroom like 3 times a day. i dont have any of those symptoms, i still feel fine, but the blood is kind of scaring me..is this something serious or is it something that will go away? i know everyone is prolly gonna say to go to my doctor, but i havent talked to any of them since i stopped taking my meds and i know they're just gonna put me back on all that crap and i dont want to unless this is something that could be really bad..like i dont wanna die hahaa

Uhm...blood is never good. It's also not good to stop medication without taling to your doctor. You could have built up enough of the drug in your system to keep you in remission for those 4 months and now that the drugs are out your probably going back into a flare. You may "feel" fine but eventually as more of the drugs ware away then you may find yourself in the same situation you were. Also it becomes very easy for you to become anemic when your loosing more than your body produces. Call your GI and let them know you stopped talking your drugs for 4 months, tell them why and hopefully they can put you on a regimine that suits you better and let them know your seeing a lot of blood again.

It was probably the steriods that was doing the worst on you. Maybe ask to be put on a lower dose and wean you off much much slower than before, and ask to limit the drugs to 2 and move up from there. Like prednisone and imurine and if your symptoms are still bad then move up to anouther drug.
