Mandy I am mental too. Doug, do you know if she is competing anymore?
I am happy she won. She is my Olympics hero.No. Because of her Crohn's she limited her efforts to one event. And won the Silver medal in it.
What an awesome accomplishment for a fellow Chronie! Some days it's all I can do to get through a shower and a day at work.
You will probably catch me browsing in either a book store or library.I'll never stop reading, but I must try to stop buying books for a while,a good while actually.I've never fancied an e-book,which would be a LOT cheaper for me.I just love to browse,it's one of my favourite things to do.I couldn't work in a library or book shop,I'd be sacked after a week.I read in the paper the other day that fear of losing their sight is the biggest fear for most people, ranking above alzhiemers.
Feel better soon Kirsty, you're an inspiration and a star.Have you got the chooks yet?
I think she might be mentioned in the General IBD Discussion section. One of our british girls who has UC won a medal..sadly i cant remember her name as i read it this morning, and my memory is shot ..
Good luck n best wishes to all the athletes taking part..go for gold boys n girls...
Hope you feel better soon.Just had three shots to try to break the migraine cycle; toradol for pain, Phenergan for nausea, and dexamethasone, a steroid, even tho my headache itself wasn't so bad. Keep getting the migraine auras, nausea and sensitivity. Hoping it works.
Praying it gives you relief Sandy.
