Welcome Izzie..that’s some sleep pattern you have..more like a hospital pattern
Diffent doc today..very nice but digging into the crohns bit.....wish they’d leave well alone
it’s ok right now
I was admitted because of a dislocated shoulder and broken finger...they made matters worse with their ministrations and I don’t want all the stuff they are doing
Just give me daily exercise to restore my regularwalk and send me home.
I might succeed in that because I keep nagging...I know I’ll be better home.
Very beautiful Canadian sunset tonight lovely red sky and paler pink surrounding it.
Such a vast expanse of reds pinks and orange colours.
Food and inspiration for the soul

Ack ! 1:50am and I am awake.😃
That is pretty normal though. 😕
My stomach cannot handle coffee anymore either. 😢

Sorry to hear that Lynda we must be kindred spirits ..I always try to get back to sleep..
My hospital room is very quiet and I have a private room gratis because I’m isolated..should be grateful for that...I’d be more grateful if I could go home but it’s not going to happen yet.
I have to pay a fortune for the internet connection..twice what it costs for my home one.
Hospitals should not be allowed to do this to a captive audience..especially long stay. Looks like another sunny day...at least I’m in the cool.
Feel better soon

I feel really sorry for all of you who suffer from sleep depravation.I don't know how you cope.I was always a restless / light sleeper but since taking just one Amitriptilyne tablet and one Tramadol at night I'm ashamed to say I can sleep for between 8-10 hours. Two Amis give me nightmares or vivid dreams. The only thing that interferes with my sleep is occasional Restless Leg Syndrom, but I think I've sorted that with Magnesium and herbal massage oil.At least I hope I have.Watch this space....off to the summer fayre in the village, somewhat reluctantly due to the warm weather and a hatred of crowds, but it wont hurt me to make an effort....enjoy your day

Izzie i hope the sleep pattern rest works and you get back on track ☺💞

Trysha i totaly agree the costs for tv n internet(if you can get) are totataly over the top. It is so unfair as u end up paying for that on top of any cable etc services you have at home, that you cant use whilst in hospital.💞💝

Carol dont buy any more books...you will be able to put the local library out of business if you do :rof: x

Love n support to all 💝💞

That’s it exactly Mandy. I don’t have the TV that’s exhorbitant too cost wise and too much to afford both
Then somepoor folks get neither and have to share TV in the patient lounge.
Can’t win for losing......
Blessed are they who expect nothing...they shall not be disappointed....
Good day Everyone...
Winning...

The TV, internet and the food should be a standard service without extra charge. These are the things that promote healing and offer a better standard for the patient. The wards are outdated and should be replaced with single and double rooms, it would not take much.

The hospital was like prison to me as well... I haven't actually been to prison recently...;) anyways... I finally hooked up my own cable in the room... I then watched as much "free" cable as I liked... I probably could have gotten in trouble... I was bored so I just figured out how... I confess, it was me. I hope you get sprung soon, Trysha. Cheers All!

In the hospital I felt as though my body was holding me as a prisoner. Prior to my operation for my colostomy I was outside in the hall by the operating room waiting for the surgeon and staff to wheel me in. There was a large window overlooking the lake. All I wanted to do was get out, and go on a camping canoe trip. I spent most of my summers camping in the canoe. After the surgery, I have never gone on a canoe camping trip since. However, I do have a remote cabin that helps make up the difference that I use quite a bit.

Iron infusion tomorrow! For some reason, though I've done this twice before, I'm super anxious about it this time. The risk of anaphylaxis really freaks me out, and I'm having it done at a new clinic so I don't know their routines or how it'll work. My mother's coming with me for moral support. I honestly kind of want to cancel and give iron pills another go, though I know my stomach doesn't do well on them.

Hope all goes well izzie. Im sure it will. Big hugs 💞

Carol just a quick warning..i think i saw the boomarang headed back your way last night so watch out hen xx

Love n hugs to you all. :ghug:

Hi all.

Trysha, Sandy and I hope you get out of there soon. You go through so much I don't know how you do it.

Sandy and I are going camping tomorrow through Friday this week. I am trying to learn to fish for Bass. We are going to Deer Creek Reservoir, here in Utah.

Sandy says Hi to everyone and said she will check in soon.

Hello Doug and Sandy good to hear from you and think of you relaxing in that lovely countryside
Carol..in 1961 Charlie Drake British comedian, wrote and sang a song supposed to be an aboriginal who was unable to fly his boomerang..it was called My boomerang won’t come back....
It was meant to be funny but some in Australia found it offensive....not a lot of people know that.....
Izzie all the best in the great adventure....it will be better than you think and don’t even mention the A word...I’ve had two of those....
I sympathize with you over the disturbed sleep pattern... happens a lot when I’m in the
Big White House....should say madhouse
My expected release date is July 19————-seems an eternity but at least I have an idea
Apparently it can take months for muscle and tissue to recover from dislocation...
Onward and upwards...at least I have a leave date
Winning.....

I remember that song Trysha although I was never a fan of Charlie Drake. When you look back at the old comedians Frankie Howerd,Tommy Cooper,Arthur Askey, even the Marx Bros. and Laurel and Hardy and Mike and Bernie Winters etc.I don't think many of them would be in the top 10 now.Life back then was innocent and naïve.

Trysha, you know we're all counting the days with you.Doug and Sandy have a lovely time.Good luck with the fishing.Mandy….it missed.Izzy,I hope today will be OK for you.

Thanks Carol....I am now counting the days...never understood staying in hospital but the more I read increases that understanding
It’s an inordinate time but necessary since the injury extends to muscle and inflammation and swelling of surrounding tissue...things we don’t usually think about.
If this doesn’t work then it’s surgery....so better to have the inconvenience of staying put
with observation.
They don’t do anything else..except Physiotherapy which is very brief and more to do with increasing mobility..my arm has to stay in a sling till further notice.
Awkward but doable. The sling has to be removed for bathing....can’t move it even then.
Talk about the perils of Pauline...feels like a cliffhanger. In the olden day’s that’s how the film ended so you went back the week following to see if the heroine lived or died.
All silent movies but usually some kind of music background.
The history of the movie industry is quite interesting...how they first operated on a shoestring budget moving to modern times and multimillion dollars 💵 productions.
Another hot day today hopefully will cool off before I leave here
Winning.....

The suspense continues from the oncologist. Bloodwork results are taking a long time to come in. Still holding our breaths here..

Trysha, hope you're feeling better enough soon that they send you home. My love to all.

Trysha, I hope all goes well and you can come home and have time to enjoy the summer. Its miserable when our bodies hold us hostage. Madhu, my thoughts go out for a good prognosis.

Have had a run out to a market town in the countryside...Bought a nice Autumn / Spring jacket in a sale. It's black.I wear a lot of black,(with bonnie scarves),as it doesn't show the muck so much.My dear dad used to say I was a mucky pup. And guess what else ???? Another book !!!! hahaha

Carol so glad the bomerang missed...i was worried it might clatter into you hun. Oh my days another book..im sure i banned you from buying more. Its like library central at yours already :rof:

Trysha oh well the 19th will soon be here. Our holiday was booked 10 weeks or so before we go n now theres only 2 weeks left 😨. Am i ready and packed...of course im not. Im usualy packed a month before 😃😃. Oh well i might take less if iv less time to pack in.
Take it easy dont overdo things hun. 💞

Doug and Sandy glad to hear from you. Hope you have a fab trip. Dont go falling in the water tho ...you will scare the fish away 😃 have a safe trip n enjoy.💞

Madhu oh noooo why is it when we are worried senseless the wait is so much longet. Il say that no news is good news but i guess you will both still worry till you hear. Hope the little one is doing well 💞

Hi Chris, bufford n izzie hope to find you all well.
Anyone i missed ... hope your well to 💝

Love n hugs to all 💞

Mandy....don't forget to take plenty spare nickers and will you bring me a stick of rock with me name through the middle please ?

Bad News...I broke the index finger on my left hand. Good News...On the other hand I'm all right.

It would appear that everyone is alive and kicking. I know I am winning a round when I can enjoy a small salad and get away with it.
Carol, I hope you heal up soon, on the positive side 9 out of 10 are still working fingers is doing pretty good.

Carol...sorry to hear you broke a finger an important one at that....I’d rather you did not copycat me....mines the pinkie right hand 3 breaks in it but it’s quite comfortable in its splint and I can’t use the right arm so it fits.
Thanks Mandy and all of you for the kind thoughts.
Madhu...praying for you for a good outcome...waiting is very hard on youand everybody.take care and keep you chins up...you have two to take care of now.
Impatient now for the 19th...
Winning...

Carol il be taking more knickers than marks and spencers sell. Had to pay for an extra suitcase :rof: if they dont sell rock there il make you some :).

Trysha no thanks needed my dear. Its all included in the package that is me ☺. Hope you are doing well and the 19th is now only 8 days away ... see its already one day less than yesterday.
Keep your chin up girl💞

Im not sure Carol has broke her finger...i think she is pulling ours tho. 😃 . If im wrong and you have Carol hope its not to painfull. ♡

What do you call a man trapped in a barrell of water???

Bob Upandown :rof:

Thank you all for being such great people.
I appreciate you.
I love your stories and your humor and your support.

Good health to us all.

Lynda

Thank you for the encouragement Mandy
Your holiday sounds exciting and I bet it’s the lovely seaside...hope the weather is kind to you...watch the sun it can be a bit naughty..don’t need sunburn. You will build up on vit D
many benefits attached to it.
Carol...hope your finger is nicely splinted and is comfortable even if a nuisance...how did it happen..was it a Jack and Jill episode like me?
Just waiting for breakfast...cereal toast and tea...same old routine.
Only seven more days before I go...getting back into stride everyday
Yesterday I had a fun day in the gym...the walking exercise included a line dancing one
which I wasn’t prepared for...used to be good at ballroom dancing...how the years fly by.
I’ll be glad to be free
The sunshine is great to see from my room and I have a lovely view across Lake Ontario across the mountain ....
Have to go...nurses keep interrupting my chain of thought for mundane things like BP,vital signs ...glad to know I’m still alive.they do a daily weigh in ...
each day seems a little less...hospital food..inedible...they even mess up jello ..it’s liquid..no need for that.
Kirsty,Sandy Doug. Miss you ...hoping things are ok

Winning....

It takes one to know one Mandy.....;)

When the first baby laughed for the first time, the laugh broke into a thousand pieces and they all went skipping around, and that was the beginning of fairies...….

;) Carol it sure does haha :)
Well now i know how fairies came to be. Thank you oh font of all knowledge :)

Trysha glad you are on the mend and escape is nigh...
Im off to Tunisia 🌴✈ for my hols so i think the sun will be shining..it better had be or il create merry hell. 😃😃

Love to all you wonderfull people 💞💝

We finally heard back from the oncologist. Just that his bloodwork looks fine and he wouldn't need a bone marrow biopsy for now. Should know more in detail when we see her in a week but we just let out a huge breath we didn't know we were holding. I'm in tears. Safe to say my hubby is winning today [emoji173][emoji173]

Oh Madhu..what a relief for you both...it gives space to relax a little.
Be good to hear the final diagnosis and as previously said crohns is the great imitator...
Still lots of prayers for you both.....take it easy
These cliffhangers are the worst.
Mandy...have a good relaxing holiday...don’t be eating too many dates...how did you travel was it the Giant Lunar Moth luxury accommodation? and all that jazz.....
Carol that’s a very nice description of the evolution of fairies...
You didn’t say how your broken finger is healing...
Winning......

Madhu...thats good news ☺. Hope all goes well next week n crohns is to blame for any irregularities. 💞

Of course im travelling by the giant lunar moth Trysha. 4 star all inclusive hotel on private beach. All a treat from my son. Relaxing erm...probably not so much as Jaxon is coming too ☺💞

Love n hugs to all 💞xx

You deserve your special "retreat." ❤
Take Care. 🙂

Good to hear, everyone is winning a round. That giant lunar moth together with the farries makes me feel relaxed enough to take a nap. Lets keep on winning. The weather here is finally warmed up, I will enjoy the day as it comes. Nothing better than stopping to smell the roses so to speak. I may just put on some Caribbean music on the deck and enjoy a rum and orange juice later on.

Bufford hope you get to chill with the music and the rum. More power to your elbow my friend...have a drink for me too ☺💞

Thanks Lynda... oh il enjoy it alright. I do deserve this treat by crikey do I. Its been well earned hunni 💞

Love n hugs 💞:ghug:

methinks you should stay off the grog, at least until you unpack your knickers :drink: :poo:

28C sunshine and the music is blasting. Come on over, and bring your favorite grog. A little medical pot and the rum n orange and oh boy! Signing off for now.

It's so hot here today I can barely type on my computer without my wrists sticking to it. Sooo sweaty, even just sitting here. I suppose I should enjoy it while it lasts, considering that our winters here are so very dark, cold, and last about 5-6 months :p

I'm not a summer person unless I'm in a cabin by the lake, and this summer sadly that is not the case. Stuck in the city, in my apartment with windows facing the sun aaaaall day long.

Well Izzie I am stuck in hospital and my room is freezing cold...I need my cardigan...
I know how you feel though...I was taken outside to climb kerbs, walk on grass,no not water that comes later, and walk uneven sidewalk to test my abilities before home next Thursday
Passed with flying colours and then walked three flights of steps back to the ward.
Think I’m ready for home but they are sticking with the 19th....well no harm in trying.
Still some hurdles to hurdle in the gym
Carol....I am growing suspicious about your report of the broken finger but you still have my greatest sympathy for your state of mind.....
Mandy it looks as if you are really relaxing on that beach....lovely feeling
I will soon be doing just that on the shores of Lake Ontario
Today I was asked if I want to be resuscitated....odds on chance of survival 50%...course I do.
I have now survived anaphylaxis on two separate occasions chances are third time lucky.....
Enjoying this page and the lovely view from my windows..Lake Ontario at its best with the mountain background...perrrfect...
Have a good day Everyone

Hey Trysha good work on your walking assault course..blimey they had you bending over backwards girl. Im not on the beach yet just over a week to go before we jet off. In my minds eye im there already ☺ so maybe that counts!!!
💞

Bufford im on my way, bottle in hand. Hope you got your dancing shoes on buddy 😃

Hi Izzie...oh the joys of hot sweatie weather. I hate having to work in it but love it coz my old joints dont ache as much in the heat ☺💞

Hey Chris...hope you are ok??
Missing your good self here. Hope to find you well. No awol allowed... you have to get permission to take time out you know 😃💞

Mandy...hope that’s not a specimen bottle to which you refer.....I doubt that Carol thinks it is....
I thought you were already at the beach...mind the sunburn....
A few more hours and night descends when Morpheus beckons and then the dawn ....
.Hark Hark the lark at heavens gate sings and Phoebus begins to rise.....
Winning....

😃😃 how did you guess what bottle is was!!.
Not on the beach yet hun sadly but happily soon will be ☺. I have skin like a rhino dont even go red. I do use sun screen tho as iv enough to worry about health wise , no need to add to them.
Im normaly packed bar the last minute bits about a month before i go away but iv not packed a sausage yet😃 not that im taking sausages by the way!!
Then again mmmmm🤔
I usualy take far to much so im leaving it later this time in hope that i dont pack the kitchen sink as per norm ☺

Present! I'll be here more now that all my paper pushing is done for at least ten days. I do have a lot to catch up on... but I'll be here more often...

Hey, just found out where British Columbia is ! 😄
[ Isn't Google Maps cool ? ]
Chris, you near the water at all ?
Ha Ha. I went on one of those tourist trips to Vancouver Island once. We were there only 4 hours.Yikes.
Have a good day 🌻

Oh. Now I know where Ontario is too 😄
Closest I have been to there is Duluth, Minnesota.

👋 waves to Bufford on his deck [ unless he has fallen from the deck from too much "grog." ] 😲

Sounds like there are a lot of Canadians in here. I'm jealous! Have a plan to move to Canada for grad school in a couple years if I can ever make it through my undergrad. Always been a fan of all that pretty nature.

Ha Ha. I went on one of those tourist trips to Vancouver Island once. We were there only 4 hours.Yikes.

We have lots of lakes and streams. Vancouver Island is great if you go to the right places... I caught a 23lb spring salmon just off there once. I would like to go again sometime. :)

I had a better afternoon than I thought. For the past couple of years eating has been more of a chore than a pleasure, but lately I have been rediscovering foods, greens are easier to eat, and now so are meats.

Yesterday I had myself a little deck party, and it was towards supper when I had carribean steel drum music playing by the Barefoot man. I had envisioned myself at the old English Hotel in Antigua where I remembered listening to steel drum music while hearing the clatter of dishes being washed by hand in the background after a fine meal in the evening. It made my appetite rise up, I actually felt hungry which has been largely absent for years.
I went inside and sat down and ate everything on my plate with ease, instead of sweating while pushing food in. I was very satisfied.
I wonder if I am entering a greater period of remission? Maybe I am winning a larger round.
Anyways I left the deck chairs out for anyone who wants to drop in for a visit, dress cool its a hot one again today. I'll be in and out while cool cat weighing in at 18 pounds sleeps in airconditioned comfort.

Present! I'll be here more now that all my paper pushing is done for at least ten days. I do have a lot to catch up on... but I'll be here more often...

Oh no not paper work!!! Ok you are forgiven for being awol ☺
Glad you are ok . Enjoy the breather from it.

Bufford i did call with my bottle , but alas you were sleeping. I had a good time anyhow. I didnt have the heart to wake you. I left it tidy and just the way it was when i arrived. Bet you never noticed id even been did you??😃😃

Which bottle Mandy....a hot water bottle for aches and pains...perchance......
Had a wonderful shower today...always in short supply in hospitals....perhaps it’s to save on the water bill
Tired of trying to eat....they mess up things so badly...it’s outside catering company...cannot match the hospital chefs they replace.....
False economy again. So many full trays being discarded by patients..
Impatient now for the 19th...
Tomorrow I have a pass out for the retinal specialist...a follow up after he reattached it.
They have arranged for transportation with disabled transport system.
I’d love to stop and get my hair done...but it’s straight there and back.
Would you believe the physiotherapist went to his clinic to check for steps or obstacles
Then I got the pass to go.
He is well equipped
for blind and almost blind and klutzes like Me......
No steps open doors. Can walk straight in like goldilocks and lie on a couch...not
Cloudy skies today and temperature drop to 28deg......cool.....
My room is icy cold....needs a cardigan
Have a good day Everyone
Cheers

Oh no cant keep outa trouble...thats boring 😃😃😃
Yes insomnia strikes it 1.47 am here n im awake ????? Oh well il sleep tomorrow night 😴😴😴.

Take care Chris.. 💞

Mandy...I heard if you soak raisins in gin and eat them it helps the gout.....do you have gout...is this the reason you take a bottle of gin.....can’t seem to think of any other reason****###%%%%??? It’s a puzzle
Wish we were closer....could have some good visits with plenty of hilarity and of course it would not be complete without Carol.....
It was a rain day today...much needed....too humid now
But I am comfortable in freezing temperature in my hospital room..needs hot blankets at night. .and the nurse places them under the top sheet so it’s instant warmth...I know
I’m a spoilt brat.Always thankful for this.
Time to sleep...perchance to dream...
Winning...

Trysha i do not have gout just a liking of gin 😃 oh boy if we were closer there would be a glut of great visits and fun. Mind you im not sure that the world would be at all prepared for the 3 of us together !!!😃😃
Heated blankets.. you are spoiled. On the NHS your lucky if you get a sheet and a slap 😁.💞

Lynda you did indeed hear those words. It seems Bufford has an open deck policy.. so he might become inundated with us lot appearing on it at any given time 😃😃💞

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them "Hold on" !

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two disasters just the same;

Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And -which is more-You'll be a Man my son !......

Sounds like everyone is having a swell weekend. Trysha, the 19th is almost here!!

We went to a 2 yr old's birthday party last night and had pizza and cake. It was fun to see all our friends after a long time. We have the baby's anatomy scan on Tuesday. I'm so excited. It's been 6 weeks since I saw the baby. This time hubby is also coming along, he has not seen the baby since it was a small dot [emoji23]

We are planning to find out the gender hopefully. That is, if the baby cooperates. I have been reading lot of reports on my mommy group that their Dec babies are keeping their legs crossed for the entire scan [emoji23][emoji23]

Bufford i did call with my bottle , but alas you were sleeping. I had a good time anyhow. I didnt have the heart to wake you. I left it tidy and just the way it was when i arrived. Bet you never noticed id even been did you??😃😃
That explains why the cat woke me up, as I needed a nap in the cool house. Next time don't hesitate to step in for a can of tonic water and some lime from the fridge.
Trysha, there are only 96 hours to go.. I'll place another chair out on the deck just in case.

Oh no Bufford!!! I wondered where the cat had gone 😃
Oh id never help myself to a sleeping persons tonic water n lime im a respectfull person. Il just wake you up next time :rof:💞

Trysha the days are in prison are numbered not long now hunni. Soon be home. 💞💞

Madhu aw how lovely ☺ il keep my fingers crossed that baba doesnt have his/her legs crossed. 💞

Carol my motto is if at 1st you dont suceed....
Sod it!!!:). So old Rudyard can whistle with that poem :)

Hope everyone is having a good day 💝💞 :ghug:

Thanks Bufford and Mandy...I am feverishly counting the days and hope I get out at the appointed time unscathed.
I like the sound of the tonic water and lime...never mind the additives...I have no taste for
alcohol.....one sip and I’m under the table...not a nice feeling...
I envy the people who enjoy it and wish I could...nothing doing..
It’s a long weary day in hospital with nothing going on for a whole weekend otherwise I think I could be out.
Only excitement is a bright red spot on my right knee and two to match on my left knee..
Isn’t that strange....can’t be sunburn.....
I’m sure it will take care of itself.
The heat of the sun is pouring through my windows right now
Hope it will cool off before I get home.
Winning.....

Not long now, hang in there Trysha. I'm imagining all of us partying at Bufford's place, I heard he has a good stereo too! Positive thoughts...:) Cheers all!

Went down the bank to the riverside for the annual Lifeboat fund raiser yesterday (in blazing 31c heat)

Live music.loads of motorbikes and riders, from scooters to Harleys to trikes. Some classic cars,we'de had most of them in the past, apart from the Alpha alas, lots for the kids to do and some interesting stalls......then a trek back up the bank to home.A walk that would normally take 10-15mins but because of the heat took forty. But I'm glad I did my bit.

An eighty five year old fellow wrote in a letter to the Sunday paper yesterday.Among other things he said....When I was young my dear old Dad said "In future the world will become overcrowded, overheated and overstrained "...When you get to eighty five you will be less tolerant, more grumpy and NOTHING on earth will surprise you because it's all been done, seen or said before.

Reminds me of a teacher I had back in the early 1970's when she claimed that the world would become so crowded that it would be standing room only after the year 2000. She was not far off the mark.

Carol I’d love to have been at that fundraiser...good on you that you went in that high heat.
Be careful not to overdo when it’s so hot.
I know air conditioners are not usually needed there. It might change with global warming
Today I was allowed out on a pass to the retinal specialist appointment.
He checked my now healed black eye from the fall.....
He had tensed up when I told him and relaxed as soon as he examined it...repaired retina
all in place
He said the cataracts are worse but still too early for surgery.Have to return in 6 months..
That brings it to 2019.....sobering thought.
That’s it for now
Trysha

I'm glad your unlucky eye is still in one unit.... A black eye... Are you sure you weren't playing rugby and then fought the guy that tackled you? Trysha, you are such a trooper! You really should write a survival guide... ;)

Good one Chris, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Trysha is amazing !!!!
I know there are a lot of youngsters on the forum, but can those of you who are in mid / late middle age remember the days when you were young ? Of course you do.And didn't you take everything for granted ? Leaping out of bed looking forward to a new day,no aches or pains, being able to run up- hill,or for a bus, eating and drinking without a care and going to the bathroom only once a day.I'm sure there's more but the arthritis in my typing fingers is telling me to stop now.hahaha.what do you all miss about youth (if you can recall that is)

Good morning Everyone
I awoke to threatening dark skies...black clouds abound...hope this is not reflective of the day to dawn
Carol.i don’t know what you mean...if we can recall...not yet ready for the bath chair or the ear trumpet
Can’t wait for my nice walks along the mountain brow overlooking Lake Ontario.
Or going down to its shores for a paddle..then a nice picnic afterwards.
There is a place there that does fish and chips just like England.
Some of the fish is too different for me to try like red snapper not sure if it might jump up and bite me.....and I stick to cod or haddock....not really a fish eater nor meat eater but sometimes you have to tolerate it.
The hospital food menu has six different meat items but only two vegetarian one of which is curry so that leaves me out....the other is hummus with pita 🥖 bread which is bearable..
the pita I don’t like here very dry....but when it’s nice and fresh it’s ok.
Something I’ve never seen here is plaice...
Looks like a big thunderclap rainstorm...glad to be in this fortress for now.
Only two more days...they are fussing about my high blood pressure....they changed my medication which worked for me before I was in patient and now it’s spiralling out of control
So they have started a second medication....
When I get out of here my GP will have other thoughts and he is usually the best one
to get it under control...I sometimes think it’s his mission in my life.
He has my utmost respect
It’s now 8am here...soon be breakfast time...
The Occupational therapist has just said she needs five minutes...what now...
See you all later
Trysha

Trysha, you're making me look forward to my future Toronto adventures with your description of Lake Ontario. Sounds great!

Hope these two days pass quickly and your blood pressure stabilizes ASAP!

Two days to go Trysha, I remember the feeling of being 'sprung' after 2 months in there. Hospitals are basically health prisons. Getting out after a long stay was like rediscovering the world and myself. After a close brush with death one looks at the world in a slightly different way. It gives one a better appreciation of life, of how precious it is and how fragile.

Trysha, send me your shopping list and I'll pop over on little blackie. If you want loads I'll have to leave E.T. in the shed though.I do a nice line in veggie soup and omelettes and salad (my hubby says) so feel free to add them to your list.Try not to get too excited about your up and coming release, remember the B.P. !!!

Izzie...downtown Toronto has easy access to the beaches and they stretch very widely...very

Waiting impatiently for Thursday....I have to get out before they find anything else...
The have already reorganized my blood pressure Meds ...I’m glad they discontinued the hydrochlorothiazide which is implicated in renal failure.

Sometimes it pays to get further opinions.

Mandy, we are yet to think names. But yes, the girl clothes are so adorable [emoji7]

Madhu the choice of girls clothes is far bigger and cuter than for boys. Have fun choosing both the name and the clothes ☺💞

Trysha be there soon..by the way i had to pay excess baggage at the airport. They said all that lot did not come under hand luggage :rof: 💞

Hi! I'm pretty good, thanks for asking. :) It's too hot outside so I have been catching up on some inside projects. I hope everybody is having a good one!:ghug:
