Nice, SandyBrrrrrr, Bufford, that's cold in your neck of the woods!
We just bought ourselves a little something to help avoid being bored in Doug's retirement years. It's a new little camping trailer (aka caravan)! Not sure when we'll be able to pick it up as we have to make some repairs to the electrical part of our tow package on our SUV, but should be within a week or two. So excited to try it out in the near future.
Winning!
No nurse yet. Called my insurance for a case manager.
Same here.Oh Sandy n Doug that looks a little belter. Hope you have many fun trips in it. You can park it in my back garden anytime by the way ☺. [emoji179]
Wishing the best for your husband, Madhu.Sandy, we were 20 mins away from new York city for 4 years. Argh you missed it. Now I have no idea what I'm 20 mins away from. It's a bustling interstate [emoji23]
I'm concerned about hubby's infusion. He needs it in 3 weeks and I don't think his insurance will be settled by then. We are trying to expedite the process but right now I have no option other than to wait and pray. It's a very hard situation to be in, not knowing if we will receive the life saving medication or suffer without it [emoji852]
Great to see you, Trevthought it was time I said hello, so hello to everyone.
Wishing the best for your husband, Madhu.
thought it was time I said hello, so hello to everyone.
Agree.Shanen hi how are you?
I couldnt agree more re insurance companies. . The nerve of them messing about with peoples health n lives[emoji34]
Mind you insurance companies generaly like to take our money but never want to pay out. At least highway men wore masks
Those lot are just bare faced about robbing us blind. [emoji34]
Good to see you here, Jeff.Best of luck everyone......
Carol the bathroom is directly across from the refrigerator, etc. It’s for sure a small space but covers the necessities. We have an 18ft very similar. You’ll love it Sandy!
Insurance delayed my last Remicade infusion so they could “research if it was a necessary medication”. Hmphhh. Spend some time in our world for a while without maintenance meds. Why should an insurance company decide your medical needs?? Rant over. Stay well everyone.
AgreedCarol i hope you have included you and I in that 99% .. lets have right we cant deny we are crazy... in a good way though [emoji2][emoji2]
Sorry, Carol. Winning
Sometimes it gets hard to keep up with all that's going on, but I still peak in from time to time.
I'm here Carol. Hi!
I'm feeling better now Carol. Thanks for asking. We are still living among boxes but it's starting to feel like home. My husband's employer has sent the insurance enrolment link a week in advance because we requested. We are enrolling this weekend and hopefully should be able to reach the meds on time. Hope you're keeping well and all set for a ride on Blackie tomorrow xxThanks Madhu. How are you feeling ? :rosette2: Has your new place stared to feel like home yet and have you met the neighbours ? Good, quiet neighbours are a blessing these days so I hope yours fit the bill.Did you get hubby's meds etc. sorted ?
Not sure the Entyvio has kicked in yet.Madhu that’s good news about the insurance..hope everything will be on time for you
Carol..how lovely to have all your family for the big birthday bash..very exciting.
You have better cycling weather than us....we had a major snowstorm for the last two days and more to come is forecast....such is the joy of winter...and so cold.
I do have a beautiful birds eye view of the snow topped roofs and trees dressed in their best white robes...
Ron hope your Meds have now been placed on a regular schedule and that you are feeling better.
Mandy...missed you yesterday..hope things are good
Sandy...how are you
Good Sunday to Everyone
Winning....
Thats me you are describing, except add in a beard but skinny no pot belly. In the dry air of winter I look like a cave man who had a bit of trouble working with live electricity at times. In the morning my hair is just poof!I'm about eight hours a week away from Looking like a bag lady, with the frizzled flyaway grey hair I would probably have if I stopped going to the hair salon, with a pot belly I would definitely develop if I ate just half of what I think about eating every day;with the dirty nails and chapped lips and moustache and bushy eyebrows that would be my destiny if I ever spent two weeks on a desert island.

Glad you made it home safely, Trysha. Can't wait until i can start walking Alex again. I haven't walked him since before the blood clots. I am on blood thinner and i want to make sure i won't accidentally fall over. Winning.Slip sliding away in the snow to church one block away from my apartment ...returning was
a hazardous venture...you might call it a good copy of Charlie Chaplin skating on thin ice..
the sidewalk was covered with snow over which which Nature had carefully painted a layer of ice rain....
very sparkly...very hazardous for walkers....not for the faint hearted...
And yes I made it back safely Mandy with my sturdy frozen cane..covered with ice rain like the snow maiden....not going out in that again...!!!
Was going to go out again to feed the birds ..but they’re all in hiding anyway.
Winning?......think so
Hoping the best, Madhu. The new employer was incredibly fast in getting us our new insurance id! Now the hassle is on with home infusion services and pre authorization from insurance. Fingers crossed it works out. Hope everyone is doing well
That is super, Cat.I'm definitely winning today! I might have mentioned this already - so you all know that I got laid off a few months back. I was at my old job long enough (15 years) that I qualified to receive a pension from the company. (I'm only 38 so I didn't think I'd get my pension so soon, ha ha.) They recently sent me a letter giving me my pension options. Basically I could either take a small monthly payment for the rest of my life - about $100 per month - or I could take a lump sum which was, let's just say a sizable amount.
I opted for the lump sum. It got deposited into my bank account yesterday. I didn't want to believe I would actually get that amount of money until I saw it with my own eyes in my account. It's really real! They took some out for taxes, but it's still a sizable amount. So, today, we took most of that sizable amount and paid off both the credit card debt and hubby's student loan. I've also got a hospital bill coming my way from my overnight ER stay a few weeks ago when I had norovirus, but I can use part of the remainder of my pension money to pay that off too. So, once I take care of the hospital bill, the only debt we'll have is our mortgage (and we only have about 8 years left to pay on that, and now that we don't have those other debts I can start putting more money per month towards paying off the mortgage even sooner).
I'm so, so happy! For the longest time, many years, I've been struggling with these debts. They're all gone now! I feel like I can breathe! I can't quite believe it but it's so wonderful, you guys. No more credit card! No more student loan! They're both gone! I feel like I'm free! I'm so winning today!

Would love to see that ,Trysha.Madhu...hope things will run smoother for you soon
Cat..that’s fantastic news...is your next move to buy a lottery ticket...while you are winning...
Our delicately iced trees are quite beautiful....spectacular with the sun shining through them.....makes up for the slippery sidewalks and snow mountains....
Winning....
Excitedly I asked Tom Hanks for his autograph but he just wrote ...........
THanks.
Thanks Chris. We are starting to like it. I still have 3 boxes to unpack, I'm taking my own sweet time [emoji23] there is a ton of other things to do because of the move. Right now, remicade infusion is the priority. Hope everything is good on your end [emoji4]How is the new place coming along Madhu? Have you got it how you like it yet? It always takes me ages to properly unpack after moving, best of luck to you. I sure do hope you are feeling more settled in your new home.
