I've been laughing at all your posts, because I have just been biding my time waiting for this very, very, very, last post to say I win. And Doug, our lot is .19 acre. Also, a lot of our roof went straight up .19 acres when we had the tornado with us in the house that Doug mentioned. We weren't hurt at all, but I did have a seizure that day. And the next. And I had to spend Christmas in the hospital (a whole week, with Christmas right in the middle). Now don't you all feel sorry enough for me just to stop all this bickering and just give me the win? And our house got to 40° inside, even with a fire in the fireplace, that tornado night with no power. And the next day. The local golf course lost over 400 trees. But we have a great old cherry tree, an apple tree, a beautiful Ash tree, butterfly bush, forsythia, roses, and a lot more in our yard. Oh, and speaking of roses, Doug gave me the most beautiful dozen red roses I have ever seen for Valentine's Day so now I can't lose. And Jessie, I have also shot a man. In fact, I do so every other Thursday.
And the house is still mine, I tell you. Nya nya nya! (Only three more days 'til you can't even try to enter any more, but it is still mine.)
And oh, my father was (4F) in WWII. But he did learn some German. And come home with some interesting swords. Does that count for military? If not, I have a cousin who fought in the Vietnam War. Hand-to-hand combat, no less. I win again. And my uncle was in WWII, stationed as a partner with Bob Welti, for all of you OLD Utahn crohnies who still remember that long-lived local weather man.
And Utah is still where it is at. We have beautiful mountains, lakes, and streams, stunning red rock landscapes like no other, georgeous deserts, open spaces and open skies. Real cowboys and real men. And oh, of course, real ladies also. You can golf in the sun in the valley, and ski 30 minutes away in the greatest snow on earth. We win again.
And I survived the roads from the west to Chicago, and BEYOND, to upper New York, past Niagra Falls, and up into Canada, across that beautiful country, and finally back down into the U.S. and Utah. With eight people in the vehicle. Before the term "SUV" was even coined.
And by the way, Doug is cooking me his famous baked chicken dinner. Winner winner, with this chicken dinner.
I think I definitely WON!
