Hi
I have had CD 20 years, had a blood clot on the lung in October 2006 then on the 26/06/2008 16:00 hrs (strange how you remember exact dates and times lol) I had my terminal ileum removed.
Because of the blood clot I had to give up my own business, I retrained as a Barber/Cut Throat shaver and was offered a job on the cruise ships in the summer of 2008 but alas it was not to be the old CD came back with a vengeance and I had an operation.
It took me until January 2010 to find a company that would employee me, and I am now working.:ycool:
The only problem with some staff is that they look at me and see nothing wrong, if I was in a wheelchair then they would show more understanding(it is understanding not sympathy that I want ):ymad:
I have just been told I have pan colietes 13/06/2011...I am tempted to ask for it all to be removed then its over and done with no more waiting..:(
On the plus side which their is :Great girlfriend(most of the time)with cool kids ,and we have 2 Siberian Huskies that keep me on my toes and love me to bits. Got some good friends and when I get down about things I pull myself up.

Hey Davi,
I know it's tough for people to understand our situation. Crohn's is one of those nasty "invisable" diseases. I'm glad that even after your 20 years living with Crohn's you're still able to see and appreciate the good things you have in your life!

Hi Davi and welcome! After telling people about my Crohn's, I often get "but you don't look sick?". It is really frustrating.

I am happy to hear things seem to be going well for you (job, GF, friends, and pups) besides the pan colietes. Are you going to try a new treatment plan before opting for surgery??
