So I know I have mentioned several times as of late that I have had strange symptoms and feel like something's "not quite right". I was hoping that someone might be able to help me out. I go to the doc on Tuesday. I don't know why, but everytime I go to the doc, I end up telling him that everything has been fine, even if it's not the truth. None of my symptoms are alarming in any way, so I downplay it, I guess. I am hoping that maybe someone can give me some insight as to what's going on so that I won't be afraid to tell him that everything is not ok. Anyway, here's what I have:

1.constant lower back pain, not isolated to one spot, either side hurts at different times. kind of feels like inflammation, maybe
2. very hard, thin stools. have been going only once a day, which is very unusual for me. But the stool seem to be thicker if I go first thing in the morning.
3. frequent urination, even waking up several times at night to pee
4. feeling VERY bloated. my abdomin looks bloated, but not like I'm prego, which I've seen happen to some people

I thought maybe I have a UTI or bladder infection, but I am taking Cipro for my fistula and I know that's what the usually give you for a UTI, but who knows.

If anyone has had something similar and knows what's going on, please let me know. Thanks!

Dude, your doc might want to run a liver panel on you. Worst case scenario is that frequent urination and bloating in the abdomen are symptoms of liver disease which is a known risk of Crohn's patients. Hard thin stools are a sign of a stricture or narrowing in the colon. I live with lower back pain, it's another classic Crohn's symptom. They put me on Humira to control the joint and lower back pain that I was having and I think it has helped a lot.

good luck at the dr tommorow shady! (it is tmr right?)
let us know whats going on ok?

Thanks Kello! (Sorry I missed that one before:) )

Just an update...and more confusion (What, a Crohn's patient confused??? NEVER!!)

I saw the PA last Tuesday and he agreed that it sounded like I may have a UTI, so he ordered a urine test. I got the results back today and it was one of those good news/bad news negative results. Since the test, I have developed a lump behind my left ear and under my arm...swollen lymph nodes, my guess, a typical sign of infection, right? Everytime I pee, there is a second stream of cloudy, white liquid. My stools, although very hard and difficult to pass, are covered in white threads of mucus. My vaginal (fistula) and butt area are really sore. And I still have occassional back pains, although not as bad as before. Could this be just a typical yeast infection? I have been on various combos of Cipro and Flagyl since late last year and my OBGYN said she saw yeast during my last visit in April. I'm not sure what my next step should be, but if this is an infection, I've got to get it cleared up. Any advice??
