I made brownies for my husband for Fathers day, I can't eat them and he isn't home yet and wont be home until a little after they are done. Thankfully. But I hate the fact that I cant eat anything like that at all. Oh Well. Happy Fathers day to any of you who this applies to. Hope your day is going well for everyone else.

I do have an article about pineapple and coconut that is suppose to have good effects on crohns patients. i'll see if i can get it scanned and post it

mmk sounds cool because i love pineapple and coconut but it seems when i eat the shredded coconut it upsets me but any other kind like the milk or when you buy a whole one and get the coconut stuff out like that then its all good, so idk.

i love both of those, i am trying to find alternatives to eat. i have been eating rice a lot. what would go good with that?

have you ever found that chicken bothers you before?
its pretty much universally handled by all of our tummies here. all of us are different of course and im sure that there are people out there who cant have it.
i would give it a try though. you might discover that its a great staple for you too, great source of protein and you can do a lot with it!
i LIVE on chicken :)
and cheeezburgas....heh

As far as I know it never bothered me before, but than again I was never really bothered by milk up until a few months ago and I tried to eat a bowl of cereal the other day and got so sick, it was kix cereal and a little bit of milk. And I tried to eat yogurt and my stomach hurt so bad that day and for days after. I think I will try the chicken thing again. Thanks for that.

Hey, MO2B ~ every time I see this thread's title, I get hungry... I just wanted you to know that LOL
My husband and I are brownie junkies.

*Cartman Voice* Somebody's bakin' brownies!

heh!

I used to love brownies. Can't eat that rich a chocolate anymore. Makes me feel queasy. If my senses are dulled a bit, like with alcohol, I can eat a small one, but that's about it. The richer the chocolate flavor the sicker it makes me feel.

Yeah - I can always handle chicken when I am flaring. Just a simple boiled chicken salad sandwich helps me feel better because of the energy it gives me.

I have a great recipe that's really easy on MY tummy. Don't know how it will treat the rest of you. (Ha -I am a terrible cook, but this is one of the around 8 things I make well.)
Boil rice and put it in a baking dish (I use 2 bags of minute rice and a 9x13 cake pan)
Layer boiled chopped chicken over the rice. (I actually boil the chicken first, then boil the rice in the same water for more flavor)
Mix one can of condensed soup with one 16 oz. container of sour cream and spread over chicken. (any flavor soup, cream of chicken, cheddar cheese.. anything creamy)
Sprinkle shredded cheddar over the top.
Bake 45 minutes at 350.
I usually add boiled broccoli on half and asparagus on half, but you can add any veggies you want before the soup layer, or none.
This soothes my savage belly EVERY time!

Ends up looking like this

wow

that looks incredibly good, I am going to seriously have to try that sometime in the next week. I have been eating rice like mad the last few days. I am done fine on just that. And just so everyone knows these were brownies from scratch not out of a box, I put a lot of effort into. I can actually make cakes and all of that from scratch. I made buttermilk pancakes the other morning for the family, I ended up eating 1 and let me tell you for me that was a huge mistake. But thank you everyone for your input.
