Jaime ended up in A & E all morning. She vomited so much this morning that she passed out and was out for a good couple of minutes, she vomited when she came round too!!

Poor girl. Her IBD nurse told her to go to the hospital. The doctor was pretty hopeless in the fact that he said that as she had been admitted numerous times with the same symptoms then there was nothing much they could do!

She had IV anti sickness and anti cramping.

Her IBD nurse popped in to see her, she is going to put J on the top of the discussion group tomorrow and is pretty sure they will get her an MRE (which our hospital doesn't normally do, but they can get it scheduled for her!)

She is calling us tomorrow with details of where and when and advice to go back if J got any worse.

Feel a little positive that this may be a possibility, and they may actually find what is going on with her, but don't want to get my hopes up too much :luigi: :mario2:!!!

Ohh I hope that you can finally get some answers although I hate that she has had to go through so much to get to that point

Sorry to hear she was so bad, but that's good that the nurse is finally going to do something. I hope they get the MRE scheduled soon for her!

OMG that sounds so scary! I'm so sorry she (and you) are going through this. I agree wtih farmwife, you are a very good mama and she is so lucky to have you in her corner. Keep us posted! Good luck!! (((((hugs))))

I am sorry Jaime has had to endure so much! You ARE a good momma! I am so glad it looks like she is going to get an MRE and find out what is going on soon!

Niks i hope this gets things moving for her.
And i also agree with the others you are a good MUM...

I know how hard it is going to A&E with the same symptoms and them telling you there's nothing they can do. I've taken my husband so many times and they do a CT and send us home. And once they asked how much alcohol he'd drunk that night ...:yfaint:(his walking is very unsteady)

That's awful Upsetmum!!! They ask that to J too as she's older! She can't tolerate alcohol, it really makes her poorly.

Her IBD nurse today suggested that as the weight is dropping off her and she is not managing to keep much solid food down that she tries Ensure Plus drinks... I have no experience of these! Does anyone know if they are likely to stay down more than solid food? Anything is worth a try! :puke_r:

Did they do a urine test? It possibe that a UTI could cause the vomiting and it so easy t rule out. If can get it culture? all the better.

Wow. I just can't imagine. I would be losing it! I'm so glad that this time things are rolling... I hope it gets scheduled fast!

I drink at least one ensure daily for either gaining or maintaining weight and to get the nutrients. When I am flaring I drink more- but when things are bad, I have a hard time with these too. I have tried several different brands, and several of the different ensure products- the only type I have liked is the ensure regular, chocolate flavour. The plus was too thick for me- I like it to be thinner. Also, I cannot drink it if its not really cold. I leave mine in the fridge- I find it tastes better when it's colder. I drink more when I need more of the calories or nutrients (as opposed to drinking the plus or the ones with added stuff). I really hope they can figure out what is going on with your daughter and she starts to feel a lot better very soon.

I can't believe what she has had to go through!!! I hope they finally move ahead withh testing!!
