I am considering using medical marijuana because I am sick of taking powerful medications. I live in NY and medical marijuana is illegal. How am I supposed to get treated? I really dont want to get mixed up with drug dealers

You really only have two options if you cannot get it on your local recreational market.

-Get a card in a state where medical marijuana is legal

-Grow it yourself

"On May 5, 2012, the Connecticut State Senate passed a bill approving the use of medical marijuana."

CT is not far from NY. If you can get a card in that state, you could buy it there from dispensaries, and bring it back home. I am unsure if you need to be a resident of that state to get a card. I know this is the case in some states. Vermont also has medical cannabis legislation.

Yea, i think you have to be a resident to get a medical card. I can get it on the market, but I would really prefer to go to a dispensory. Safer and different strains

I believe you are correct.

Oregon is the only state I am aware of that will issue MMJ cards to out of state people. Wrong coast, I know. The next hurdle is finding a state that accepts other states MMJ cards. Connecticut does not. Rhode Island does as does Michigan. Here is a good link on the subject.

I have done a ton of research on the subject lately. A small stealthy grow of favorable strains seems to be the best option at least for me at this point. I have even found simple growing techniques that increase CBD levels which is what we want for treating our disease.

Yea, I want some marijuana with high levels of CBD, but it isnt available in my part of NY. All I can find is junk, low quality weed

I will pass along any info as I progress in my search for the same thing.

cheers

I'm in Florida and have the same problem. I am trying to locate the safest solution to finding medical grade indica strain. There are tons of issues when you can't find it legally. :ybatty:

It's only illegal if you are under the de facto government jurisdiction, which you really aren't. Lookup what a strawman is and go get some MM it is your birthright to consume any substance you desire.
