I female so I might not have the answer you are looking for, but when I'm flaring and need to go to the bathroom, my body gets really cold. Even if it's over 100 degrees out . I think it ha something to do with your body's reaction to the flare/ the need to go. I'd kind of life when you eata big meal you get cold because your body sends extra blood to your stomach to help digest, but instead it sends extra blood to help with what ever is going on. I thought everyone got cold like I do when they flare and I was greatly mistaken, so it's comforting in a way to know I'm not alone

Male here but sorry I haven't had this experience or heard of it. I can't even guess what would cause that for you. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to ask a GI or urologist as they hear it all and it won't phase them.

I would assume it has to do with blood circulation. It is an external appendage, and like hands and feet, blood flow is reduced to it when the body needs to retain warmth. Are your hands and feet cold at those same times?

I haven't experienced this phenomena per se. I notice that, when flaring, and inflamed, I get a dual sensation... low grade fever... flushed around the forehead, etc.. and hot in the area of inflammation. However, other spots feel cold. Feet, hands ,extremities..

Now, and there is no way I'm aware of to.. discuss this.. without getting.. a bit detailed. I seem to have an issue caused by steroids. It causes contraction of the scrotum and a real drop in temperature... or a real drop in temperature causes my scrotum to contract. It's a normal response for perceived temperature change there.. but why its happening I don't know. This process repeats... and repeats, and results in a sensation akin to a lack of sex... whether this is physiological or psychological I can't determine, but it feels real.

Boy, just when you thought this disease couldn't get any more embarrassing, it does. And for apparently an anonymous member with no other posted questions to ask. I don't mind helping out other members, but I dislike answering someone purely prurient queries
