I posted at the weekend that Lucy had a made a poo all by herself without crying and she has being doing so since, however last night while as I examining her poo (as all of us Chrons mums do!) there was lots of red blood. What does this mean? I dont think it is the perianal disease as she clearly isnt in pain .... have a call into our lovely GI nurse but am really worried again.

Sorry to hear that. I can't offer to much advice. I know it frustrating when you think they've turned the corner, they run into another wall. Grace was doing great and in the middle of the night has a bad cold and fever hit her out of no where. I was getting use to sleeping through the night.:yfaint:
I hope you get some answers.

Sorry you are having to worry again. Never had any experience with bleeding so no advice. Just hope she is ok!

Hi Polly,

Sorry to hear Lucy is dealing with symptoms again . Red blood in the poo for my son was due to an irritated colon. We started nightly steroid enemas and it's really helped. Hope you get some answers! I hate that our poor kids have to deal with this!

Hey Polly,

I am so sorry to hear this...

It sounds like Lucy's bleeding may be occurring higher up than the anal region and that is why she isn't complaining of pain. Have you had any further advice from your gastro team?

Dusty. xxx

Dusty - I think you are correct and the poo is very runny. GI nurse was going to speak with GI today and get back to me but hasn't yet but she will call. She was a little concerned given that peri-anal symptoms seem to have gone away. On a positive note we had no blood today. If it gets any worse over the weekend I will take her the local ED.

I hope it all settles again hun and no ER visits are needed! Good luck!...:goodluck:

Dusty.

Hope it is going OK this weekend.

It is so hard when we relax a bit as thigs are going well and then symptoms pop up again and you get that sick feeling in your tummy. I hope it is soon sorted or better still doesn't happen again!

take care of yourselves,
LilyRose

I really hope she has no more symptoms over the weekend and you don't need to go to the hospital. Thinking of you xx
