Hi all,

I usually get them on the inside of my cheeks and on the side and tip of my tongue, but for some reason i've for them on the back of my throat. This is painful when swallowing.

Why would they be in my throat? :confused2:

Any cool tips for avoiding them? :ycool:

Hi there. I suffer from these horrible ulcers on a constant basis. I get them all over my mouth. Tongue, lips, sides of mouth and throat. Sometimes I think they are worse than the stomach pain! I wish I had some great advice on how to avoid them but unfortunately I don't. For the ones in the throat I gargle with warm salt water. Also, when I was in the hospital they have me some 'Magic Mouthwash'. It's really good because you can swallow it. It still only works for a few minutes but any relief at all is welcomed! I wish I had more for you. I hope you get to feeling better soon. :)

I'll give the salt water thing ago after work. I'm also going to try a special manoeuvre and put some bonjela on a cotton bud and apply to the back of my throat. (May end in major gag reflexes!)
