MTX and vivid dreams

Hi,
Hope everyone had a good holiday.

Does anyone on MTX have vivid dreams? I tired searching the forum but dreams brought up a lot of things. The internet didn't help much.

I started MTX about a month about and I have been having crazily vivid dream on it. They are not bad or good but upsetting anyway. I have had this side effect from Malaria medication. So I am pretty sure it's a side effect, but like everyone else, I am looking for some confirmation.

I dont know why it would do that but MTX blocks folic acid, so try taking a supplement and see if it helps you. I have heard of folic acid helping with MTX side effects.

I get vivid dreams from MTX-the day I inject, I don't read or watch anything scary lol!

Now that you mention it..... I guess I am having more vivid dreams since being on the metho! Some are good, some are weird but nothing scary or disturbing.

And as Lydia mentions, make sure you on a high dose Folic Acid supp.

I am on folic acid supp.
The fact that there not scary and disturbing makes it ok. Mefloquine which is a malaria med know for this side effect is also makes the dreams very disturbing.

Strange! I was on mtx for eight months, but never noticed this effect.
