I just got a call from my doctor's office. My mri came back normal. Over the weekend, though, i felt i was flaring bad. I even had some pain.

Normal is good Ron.I think we are more aware than "normal"people concerning our guts.
I am always more aware of niggley pains and tiredness now.Of course I'm 11yrs older since my diagnosis so it's to be expected I suppose.Like we've said before.if it doesn't feel right, then there's something wrong somewhere.Feel better soon.

Thanks. I feel part of it might have come on because of something I ate. Would that still mean something out of the ordinary is going on in my body?

I don't think so.Just that something hasn't agreed with you.Give it 24hrs and if you feel better, then that was it.A process of illimination takes time. Some crohnies can eat what they like and some of us can't alas.

That's a great news.
My last mri 5 months ago was a disaster... hope entyvio will fix it to avoid surgery.

I sometimes felt bad in the last year too while my mri were normals... adjusting my diet often helped with symptoms

After what my kids have been through my take on things is:

If your clinical results match how you are feeling then that is the icing on the cake.

On the other hand if your clinical results don't match what you are seeing in front you i.e. you don't feel well but your results are normal, then push for further answers.

If your Crohn's is located in your small bowel then an MRE should be stock standard over an MRI.

I also had an MRI, not the MRE. I swallowed some kind of tracer. I also had an eye scan before hand with an X-ray, I believe. Being an automotive worker put me at higher risk for metal slivers in my eyes. I saw 3D pictures of my guts and eyes on the doctors monitor when he showed me the plan before surgery. It was weird you could follow things as if you were inside it, if that makes any sense.
