I was in remission until very recently--still waiting on test results to confirm a flare, and tbh I'm scared nothing will show up and that I won't have an answer for the way I feel.

Anyways, I was working on getting into shape last year and I was coming along well, but I got sick just five days into January and have lost a lot of strength since then.

Blake Beckford really did inspire me to try to get back to it, but I've found that physical activity makes me gut feel strange. Not painful, no D, just... a weird malaise like something is tightening in there, like a discomforting version of butterflies in the stomach.

Maybe I'm trying too much too fast. I've stopped going to taekwondo for the time being because I just don't have the stamina to be there for two hours like I usually am. I have aspirations for this year, fitness wise, and I'm trying to get back to it. Thoughts? Advise? Anything?

Hello there, I'm sorry I've missed this until now. I've been away and I'm just getting into the swing of things.

It might be best for you to build up slowly, just do a little at a time and gradually increase your activity levels. Listen to your body, if you need to rest then rest, keep yourself hydrated and remember that healing takes a lot of effort and energy so your body is already working hard.

Do you have access to a dietitian? They may be able to help you draw up a diet plan to help support your body back into physical activity. Also, check out our diet and fitness section to pick up helpful hints and tips from other members who have experience with this sort of thing.

My problem with dieticians is that I love and agree with everything they say but I hate vegetables so it's problematic. :/

They should help you work around that, they can give you ways to get more protein etc which could improve your energy etc

Also, you might find it helpful to get your vitamins and minerals checked incase you have any deficiencies which we are all prone too.

I know I'm low on D, which eggs, milk, supplements, and sunlight. I'm lactose intolerant so there goes the milk... eggs are fine. I'm getting on supplements and thinking about tanning until winter decides to stop being horrible. X.x It's always worse in winter.
