Need advice about Crohn's

I am coming to this board for advice and hope someone with more knowledge on this to help guide me in the right direction. Does anyone know if there are any other conditions that can mimic "extremely severe" Crohn's colitis that continues to worsen with no remissions/flares until surgery removes the diseased intestines? Also, are there any tests to confirm if someone has been misdiagnosed with Crohn's?

Hi Elly, and welcome to the forum. There are a lot of people on here who may be able to assist you. Crohn's can go through periods of flare and remission, but everybody is different. I have known people that had a single flare, diagnosed with Crohn's, then went on to live a normal life without another flare... while others are not so lucky. I am not aware of any other conditions that can mimic extremely severe Crohn's.
