need advice please
My daughter( 30 years old) has had Crohn's for about 5 years now. She has had one resection surgery about 4 years ago and has been on remicade for about 2 years now. She also takes imuran once a day and folic acid. Has been doing great for sometime now until October 7th. She was due for her infusion on the 9th and tends to get the "runs" a few days prior to treatment but clears up after treatment and away we go. This time however, she has continued to have many trips a day to the bathroom and has had one bout of dehydration which ended us in the ER for 2 huge bags of IV solution. It doesn't matter what she has eaten, the bathroom is still an issue. She just had an endoscopy and the doctor thinks she has gastritis but isn't sure of that is the cause of her problem. He put her on protonix which he felt would help. She now feels very bloated under her rib cage . THey told her to stop the protonix and biopsy results should be in this week from the endoscopy. Blood work is normal, stool sample normal so we are at a loss as to what is going on. Anyone had anything similar? Help!!!
