Need advise on Health Insurance in US

Hi All,

Not sure if I can post this thread here if not please excuse me. I reside in USA and had my first infusion in states. I was surprised by seeing the bill which i had received from the hospital. I am not eligible for medicaid. Any recommendations for best insurance or any organizations who can help for infusions please suggest. Thanks in advance

Which medication are you getting by infusion? Many companies have assistance programs, you should have been notified in advance if the medication was not going to be covered.

I am on Remicade

Look into Remistart (Remistat?) - that hopefully will help you out. Also, check how it is billed - my infusions are billed as 'chemotherapy' and are covered in full....it should not be bill as a prescription medication....my insurance is United Healthcare.

Most states have an insurance that goes by income (a lot cheaper) call you’re department of human services in your county and get the info from them sometimes they pay all expense.
