Arrggghhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok - feel a little better now.......I think I posted the other day that I was feeling not so great - Sunday morning I woke up to no voice - basically bs'd my way into getting my Remicade anyway Monday afternoon......stopped at Urgent Care on the way home and got a prescription for good cough medicine (hydrocodone), and filled one for azithromycin 'in case' I wasn't feeling better in a couple days.....Stayed home Tues with even less voice, got sick in the afternoon not sure if it was from the hydrocodone.....stayed home again today (up at 5am with SORE throat!) - had a 10am Dr appt.......

Went to the Doc this morning, he took a look at throat, ears etc...told me to start the antibiotics.....and gave me a new prescription for a phenergen cough medicine - for which I had to go to 3 pharmacies to find!.....

Still feel crappy - spent most of the afternoon in bed.....and I HAVE to go to work tomorrow - at least I will be sitting in a classroom for most of the day and will not have to do any talking! .....hoping the antibiotics will have started to kick in...throat is getting more sore again, about time to take some more meds!

Of course my daughter doesn't keep remembering that I can't talk - and keeps asking me questions etc....hubby has finally remembered that he can't ask me a question from across the room and expect an answer!

I just want this crap over with!!!!!.........I also have my Mom calling a couple times a day to see how I am feeling - she is worried about me and tends to start to 'mother'...lol....go figure.

At least I have ONE thing to be thankful for - my bathroom habits are still ok!

oh - LAST RANT - Dr said to LAY OFF THE COFFEE for now! NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :voodoo:

Having a sore throat is painful. I had that last October, not fun. My husband works in a mine and half the men there are all sick. My husband's throat was sore too and he was trying to call a guy on the radio to come get his machine that he fixed and nothing came out. Another guy had to transmit for him. He has been sucking on cough drops continually and working nights.

My family would be so happy if I couldnt talk . Try to gargle with warm salt and water. When at home try not to use your voice. As for mom's I am a mom too and also still have mine, I am worse of a mom than my mom. My daughter gets spoiled when she is sick and she is 22. Mom's never stop being a mom!

Hope you feel better soon, and oh yeah drink lots of fluids... I know stop being a mom

You probably should have postponed the remi for a week.

Get well soon!

I know....but, I had already rescheduled my work week once, took time off - etc etc.....

At least I know that I don't usually have any adverse reactions from the infusion - no pre-meds, no after-effects either.......it is tough too when I usually get them at the max interval -= 8 weeks...don't want to go too far past that!

Jettalady....yes Mom! lol.....I know.....Moms will be moms forever...I'm sure I'll be the same way with my daughter!...could be worse - she could not give a darn - or even not be around any more.....(Moms live forever, don't they?).....

Trying to take care of myself - sore throat again this morning and now coughing up crud......BUT voice seems a little bit better so far, will be doing as little talking as possible - AND hubby gets to drive me to work! (We are carpooling for now).

Bye for the day - have to get dressed and ready to go to work!
