It pains me to write this. In the summer my fiancee (Mariah)'s uncle was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer. Like anyone else would, he went through hell and back battling with chemo, he had his whole bladder removed, the whole nine yards and just two weeks ago he received the word that he was cured. Awesome, right?

A few nights ago he was having terrible chest pains and ended up rushed the ER where they found a blood clot. They cleared the clot, ran some tests and found four cancerous tumors on his liver. After a few days in the hospital, today he was given 3 months left to live.

As I'm almost positive everyone here has experienced cancer with a loved one, my dad passed away when I was 9 due to brain cancer so we all know how awful and hard it can be. I know as each day goes by things will get harder and harder but I'm asking for you guys to keep her uncle Tom in your thoughts and prayers and were just praying for a miracle. :(

Thank you Jmrogers4, and all the others who have sent support above. I really appreciated. We're just hoping for the best out of a bad situation

I'm so sorry to hear this for your family

All my thoughts and support and hugs coming your way ...

Hey KW...:hug::hug::hug:

I am so very sorry to hear about Mariah's Uncle. What a difficult and heartbreaking time you are all facing, as you know. I can see from your post that he will be surrounded by loving and compassionate loved ones that will make these difficult months warm and comforting for him.

Sending loads of love and healing thoughts to you all. :ghug:

Thinking of you,

Thinking of you and your family. Such a hard time for all of you.
I am so sorry for all that you are going through and are about to face. I hope you and your fiancee have the Lord and will be able to have comfort in His Word. That is the only comfort there really is. Prayers for all of you.
Julie

Hi there KW,

sorry to hear the sad news. I can't help much, but have you researched things like bitter apricot kernals, pure hemp oil, turmeric etc on you tube and google? I hope something works. he deserves to live!

good luck

Thanks guys. Mariah and I (as well as her whole family) really appreciate it.

Spooky1- are you in the wrong thread?

Will definately have you both and the whole family in prayers. I do believe miracles can happen, K, just whether it's His will as well as ours, you know? Hugs to you both. It's a terrible thing to watch a loved one go thru, still have raw places from watching Mom go thru it.

K,

Scurvy killed millions and it was easily cured by vitamin c. I sincerely hope there are things out there that some people say cured them. I'm hopeful, as i'm sure is everyone, that something can cure it as so many of us get it. Was also reminded of welsh bird as last we heard she too had cancer.

best wishes.

Stay strong n by his side, support of loved ones go a Long way! Keep your head up. Prayers for u n urs. Muah- hugs-

My prayers for Uncle Tom and all of you...God will definitely help. Just dont stop beliving.

Thanks guys. We are currently 4 hours away where we go to University but we're done exams in a few weeks so we're going down to spend some time with him when we get down there.

As far as I know the doctors even took him off all meds and pretty much gave him an unlimited amount of oxy contin for the pain because he doesn't have to worry about addiction. He's at home because he said he doesn't want to spend his last months in a hospital, which is completely understandable

I, too, am sending prayers and thoughts your way and for Mariah's uncle. I was glad to read that he can be at home. My dad was at home at the end of his life, just as he wanted it. Hang in there! Your support is such a gift to him.

Sending prayers and wishes to you and your family. Would there be any point of getting a second opinion at this time?

Personally I don't think they want too. I do know he has a really great set of doctors who have helped him so much with his bladder cancer and they worked really hard to help clear that so I think they just trust the doctors at this point. Were not giving up though, and hope to keep around as long as possible

Good luck with exams and then travel safe. I also lost my father at home due to cancer during exam time. Want to talk about a stress loads. Tons of support coming your way. Muah- hugs-

Thank you acheallova. My dad passed away too when I was 9 from lung cancer that spread to brain cancer. Actually it was December 3rd that he passed which is tomorrow. Crazy to think it's already been 13 years.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss as well

Sending prayers! We lost my MIL to a brain tumor last year and she went very fast so I know how rough it is. Praying for a miracle that is all you can do. Has he contacted hospice? They are really helpful. I would highly encourage contacting them.

Heys guys, I haven't been on as much as usual lately because my exams are crazy right now. I've finished two so far, have another tomorrow and then have to prepare for a huge 4 hour psyc exam.

Anyways, Uncole Tom passed this morning around 5:30am :( A few days ago when he was rushed back to the ER they lowered it and gave him only month left. They said keeping him in the hospital would keep him around the longest, and his wife was allowed to stay 24/7 with him so he agreed. He took a huge turn for the worse. Mariahs dad went and visited him yesterday and he said Tom couldn't talk and the most they got out of him was a smirk.

When Mariahs dad got to work this morning there was a message to call immediately. Uncle Tom had passed. As sad as it is losing a loved one, we are happy that he doesn't have to deal with cancer anymore, as that's the number one priority. Him. He won't have to suffer anymore.

I have a few PM's going with people, and I promise to get back as soon as I have a second to stop and breath from all the craziness. Just looking forward to my last exam on the 15th so I can start my Christmas break. Tom doesn't want a funeral but instead he wants everyone to get together over Christmas and celebrate his life, which is what we are going to do.

Thanks for keeping him in your prayers <3

I'm happy for him that he is no longer in pain and suffering.

I'm sure your family will have such wonderful stories to share at Christmas.

Bless your heart

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. I am truly sorry about your loss but glad that Tom is no longer suffering.

Thanks guys. Mariah and I (as well as her whole family) really appreciate it.

Spooky1- are you in the wrong thread?

Go on worldwide prayerchain and tell your story and people all over the world will be praying for him, including me. Three yrs. remission (kidney cancer) God is great!!!:heart::heart::heart:

So sorry. Blessings to you all at this difficult time. Hope your exams finish up well and you get to have a wonderful christmas celebrating Tom's life.

KW, i'm so sorry for you and your wife, and of course the rest of your family. It's not the best time to go over as it will possibly put a dampener on the festive season. But, i do believe its a great relief for those suffering so badly when they are finally at peace. I have watched old and young relatives die of cancer, they are not themselves at the last, its difficult for everyone involved. But Heaven they say is stunningly beautiful! I hope so, and at least he has no pain now.

once again, KW, i am sorry for the loss, and much sympathy for your wife and his wife too.

Best wishes

I'm so sorry to hear of your family's loss! Will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time! :ghug:
