My boyfriend has Crohns (he is 20). He went to the hospital about a month ago and found out he also has a blood clotting issue. They have him on blood thinners. I know those are not a good mix but he has to or he will die. What are some things that you all do that help with your Crohns? If you have Crohns and you are on blood thinners please comment and tell me what you do to help with symptoms and help you to be healther. I am really worried about him. thank you

Create a food diary to determine what foods work well and what does not. Stick to the foods that are better digested. Might be that he should stick to a specific diet. Perhaps a visit to a naturopath who will help determine what foods to avoid etc.

Try distraction. I know how hard it is to be motivated when you feel so ill but it is important to keep busy with the things he loves to do.

Be on top of medications and keep a list of if it's working and symptoms experienced.

be there for him when he just needs someone to talk to. We all need to rant sometimes.

And for yourself--make sure you have time for yourself. My father and I both have Crohns and I can't imagine the torment my mother is going through watching us both struggle.

Take care of yourself too
