Just wanted to know if anyone else with Crohn's gets sores on their skin that don't want to heal easily and I now have a couple of eye sores on my eye lid. Don't know if this is something for me to be concerned about or if it is just coincidental to the disease.

I know that it can affect the skin. Is it also possible that its from the Bentyl since it can cause rash and hives and the like in the serious side effects section? How long have you been taking it and are you taking anything else? I'd contact both your GP and GI about it (or even call up the pharmacist and ask them since they have a wealth of knowledge on medications and their side effects and interactions plus they are there on the weekend). Sores on your eye lids are not a good thing as vision is quite important.

hey there, Yes I get small sores on my body and friends of mine get them on there eye lids. They are all on more meds than you have listed but are also always in an inflamated state to some degree. I believe it is the Crohn's disease activity more than the meds as I have them on and off. I have always been on meds though...20yrs plus.
I would see the doc also...
