Hi all im new to this forum, but not new to symptoms of crohns, My tory started back when i was 17 had lots of right sided pain, taken in to hossy and had my appendix out, to my horror 3 weeks later the pain was worse of to the dr i went i was told it was adhesions from the surgery it will take a while to calm down.
Forward a few years woke up one morning and i thought oh my god them pains are here agin i new they were the same pains very distictive arnt they, took myself of to the drs, this time they told me i had overactive ovaries, well what do you do you listen to your dr dont you was given pain killers.
Forward a few more yeras to when i was in my late 20s went dr with this dreaded pain yet a again and hey presto it was something else IBS was given meberbevine for the cramps and co codamol for the pain, 6 weeks later still no give in it, so a dr sent me for a sigmoidoscopy which came back with some mild inflammation but the biopsies were normal my bloods were relatively normal.
So forward 10 plus years goin through life in pain agony and not really getting anywhere, i flared badly in august last year, was taken into hospital was put i drip, morphine was introduced to a surgeon he was lovely told what tests they were goin to do, and then we would take it from there, had lots of tests to reveal i had inflammation of my rectum sigmoid ilium and caecum, and stared on pain relieve and steroids, then the crunch come i had to go see a gastro, well i wish id never gone he was horrible, he told he didnt believe i had anything wrong with me i had had a bug which had triggered my IBS off again he would give me some questrian sachets to sorted out my runs. and he would refer me to someone for hynotherpy how dare he the idiot. so a few days later i took myself of to my own gps and asked for second opinion at another hospital altogether, she gladly did this for me. im still not 100% diagnosed as yet ive just had 2 MRI scan of my small bowel and pelvis, my new gastro believes it is crohns but just waiting now on my scan results, but to has insult to injury im in full blown flare up again at the moment back on steroids which i hate taking has i produce so much acid it hurts, just wish i new where i was at. ive not worked since last August and its driving me mad not knowing im ok with the crohns thing i just need to know, im now on antidepressants cause of all the upset this has caused, dr playing god, who the hell do some of them think they are> id love to hear from anybody who has some thing intersting to tell me, or just want to say hello, , tc all for you time on reading my story xxxsuexxx
