Hi everyone,
I have had a severe perianal abscess with Sepsis, resulting in 4 consequetive operations in April. In the final operation they put a loose seton through the fistula.
I had a fistulotomy last month and a cutting seton put in. I am due a final surgery at the end of the year.
Last week I noticed the seton had gone. I left a message with the Surgeon and spoke to my GP who said carry on. I am due to go back to work in a week.
I have noticed that there is no drainage now and I get a bit of throbbing in the area, but no significant pain.
My significant pain comes from my lowet back. My Occupational Health Doctor feels I have a weakened lower trunk. I am awaiting physio.
Has anyone experienced anything similar and can they advise please?
