Ok - this is really wierd...
I have been having these coughing 'fits' the past week or so - starts with a feeling of a dry spot in the left side of my throat - right near the base of my tongue.....drinking water helps a little, and coughing makes it worse.....
I think it is related to the Lisinopril I have been on- even though I am only on a 5mg/day dosage.....I stopped taking it last Wednesday to see if hte dry spot/coughing stops...still going as of this morning. I'm having these 'fits' anywhere from 2-6 or so times a day, even in the middle of the night.
Now yesterday, I noticed that the left side of my throat, right near the base of my tongue, feels NUMB...when I swallow, I can feel whatever it is going down the right side, but not the left. There is no swelling evident, just a wierd feeling with the numbness....
Anyone else ever have something similar?
I'm thinking if it doesn't go away or feel better by tomorrow I will give the doc a call.....I don't have any issue swallowing or any sign of weakness etc on my face so I think I can hang on another day or so.....
