I was talking to a young ostomist who was getting a lot of grief and abuse for having a stoma, the not good thing about this was a lot of the abuse was from fellow crohns and UC sufferers. maybe it was because of there own fears, but comments saying your ugly and disfigured and must live in an alternate universe if you think someone could love you with that, and i'd rather die than have a bag. These sort of comments are around a lot, I know because I got similar comments since my op. Because of this I made the following video http://youtu.be/y0Jfapk_khM.
please please watch it, even if it is just to show yourself what we have overcome. please share it, we need to stop this abuse of crohnies, and colies, and cancer sufferers who have fought back. one day you may be in that position, or no someone who is and your knowledge or ignorance copuld make a big difference.
