Does anyone else feel good one day and horrible the next? I am so over this. Everyone says they understand and I know they are trying to be nice, but unless you are in this position you cannot really understand. I am tired of the pain, always having to leave work, or go lay down. Is it my imagination or does the Crohn's get worse as you get older?

Hi Steph, I know how you feel, I can have a great day and then wake up the next feeling like i've been hit by a bus with the worst stomach pains as well. Guess Crohns is just so unpredictable.

Stupid thing to say but I hope you feel a bit better about everything soon.

Rachel.

hello
I Feel the same....one day i feel great then the next iv taken 3 steps back.. i am saving for university and i had to miss a whole weeks work because my cramps were that frequant... what kind of symtoms do you have? have you ever experienced a weakness in your arms or legs? at the moment my rights arm jus feels dead... i dropped a bowl of sugar this morning i couldnt hold it... its just so hard to keep positive... i am 21 and since iv been diagnosed crohns has just taken over my life...

Might I suggest...

I'd recommend looking into the auto-immune version of the Paleo diet to get you started with what to eat. Give it a shot for 30-45 days along with the accompanying changes in lifestyle and see how you feel. It's done wonders for me!

Hi Steph and welcome! Oh, yes, I know exactly what you are saying. I have been dealing with this myself lately. Yesterday I had like a 9/10 day, and today I feel like crap (no pun intended). I wish I could leave work early to go home, but I already had to take a few days off last week. It isn't easy, but I just try to bear through it and hope better days are to come!

Hi Steph and welcome

I'm sorry that you are having a tough time at the moment, crohns can be so unpredictable at times and that can cause stress which can lead to more flares, a vicious circle that we can all relate to. I have found that getting plenty of rest, eliminating foods that cause symptoms, working with my GI to find suitable meds and my biggest tip learning to say NO has help ease things for me.
Crohn's affects us all in different ways and some do go on to develop other issues as we get older but a lot of people don't. Some even go into remission for long periods of time.
Please don't fret about what could be, I have done a lot of that over the years and it just made me sicker. Get yourself back on your feet and enjoy the good days and rest yourself on the not so good days.

Best of luck

Thank you all I am glad to know it is not just me ( not that I wish anyone ill). It is just so hard to explain to people that are not affected by it or something else. Everytime I have to leave work people look at me like I am crazy, and I just want to scream and say I did not ask for this and thank your lucky stars that you do not have it...

EEFS, yes, I do have weakness in my arms and legs and often drop things myself. I find it worse when I am on the higher levels of steroids. I hope it gets better for you...
