ummm.. it's vertuiously impossible to stop taking the pain meds, or I'd be in the Er with them giving me shots of pain meds..
Right now i have cyst inside my ovary that's bigger than what the ovary is suposed to be anyways.. and on the pain meds it barely takes the edge off..
It's not a normal kind of constipation..
It's like.. i have soft stool, but my muscles dont want to push it out, so it just stays in there.
Is there anything i can take that will make me go poop?

they will be removing my ovary and the cyst next week. so I should be off of the pain meds afterwards.

Hi,
If it's the pain meds causing the problem, they do it by slowing down the bowel (slowing the muscle contractions). If you can take fiber, like Metamucil, that will speed things up and also bulk up the stools.
I hope you get a smooth run and the surgery gives relief.
all the best.

I will give it a try.
And I'm pretty sure it's the pain meds causing it.
Just because, normally I have the opposite.. I have to wear pull ups because it's uncontrollable, and i have the firery runs.

I would also think about chatting with the doc about this. Try a small amount of metamucil first, and drink plenty of fluids. 'Senokot' (which doesn't bulk the stools but stimulates the pumping action of the guts) is generally recommended over metamucil when it is opiod induced constipation... but with Crohnies it's harder to say.
I hate the fiery diarrhea too!

hmm. the Senokot may be the right stuff, I do recall metamucil not being used with opioid constipation...hope I haven't confused you.

Thanks! I'll check out with my doc too..
opoid? Whats that tho?
I'm on hydrocodon/apap AND a form of morphiene in a pill.
