Hi Everyone,

I hope you're all feeling well.

I have a quick question: I have Crohn's and am coming off a 19 year remission with a vengeance. Had increased inflammation over the summer which culminated with an obstruction in August. My GI put me on a low prednisone dose and also prescribed 6MP. I've been feeling pretty good, and then suddenly in the middle of last week, started feeling some intestinal pain. It's gotten worse, but the weird thing is: NO other symptoms. My appetite is great, no blood, no bloating...nothing. Just pain. I've had Crohn's for 30 years & I've never experienced this before. Should I be freaking out? Is this normal? I also have some increased joint pain - just to add to the fun.

Thanks!

You might want to visit a rheumatologist about the joint pain. I would also call your GI about your intestinal pain. Let us know how you are.

Join pain (arthralgia or arthritis) could be an extra-intestinal manifestation of CD, a sign that the disease is active.

keep in mind that it is possible, at any time, that the disease change location or change its pattern over our life time, thus expressing different symptoms.

I would call the GI if symptoms persist. wishing you well.
